Getting Tropical is a performance that merges movement, text and social media devices, in an imaginary post-catastrophic scenario that takes place in the tropics of a superficial world. Sometimes very similar to Brazil, or to a super fictional Brazil, or to the Brazil pra gringo ver. Getting Tropical proposes to critically think on its foundation myth, as a European creation that has been perpetuated and re-enforced until today as an earthly and tropical paradise and re-present it as an image of horror, apocalyptic in nature.

We begin a new project here... We will study the program of festivals or events 🕵️‍♂️ We begin with #megustaspixelad_ , a festival at La Casa Encendida in Madriz, about performance art and videogames.

The festival itself suggest us to look at the idea of "artist festival". The curator does not describe himself as such, but us an artist and the festival as a project.

What do artists need to say about performance curatorship and theatre programming????? Here a list of events organised by artists... for artists and their contexts... Its just a very ecléctico selection of festivals that in stead of solving the question make us wonder and look deeper into the proposals to find the common.
