There was a long silence on our YouTube channel… I did travel, but we had some struggles with chaos, now it is back on the road!

Currently getting some preparations at @flat4offroad for our winter trip to Alaska 🔥

You can head to the YouTube channel and check the new movie, it’s online!

Circa 2023.

Even though we ended up camping beside the highway, it wasn’t the worst way to spend the morning.

Watching the sun rise over the smoky Rocky Mountains made for a pretty good start to the day. With the new tire sorted, it was finally time to get back on the road and continue the adventure.

Chef Mike is dishing it up today at this year's second annual Pancake Pitstop 👨‍🍳

Stop by today from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. and get some free breakfast 🥞

We've also got a little adoption center going on with a bunch of puppies for your kids to come and see, plus a little car show too 🚗

And should you show up and put your name into the draw basket, you can win one of three amazing prizes🎁

Circa 2023.

It was finally our turn to have a tire go on us.

One of the tires had been slowly losing air throughout the trip, while the others were holding pressure just fine. Combined with the 37°C heat in Kamloops, it was only a matter of time.

Coming into town, the tire finally gave out. Thankfully, I was able to pull off onto some gravel and take a look at everything before figuring out what to do next.

No check-in. No room key.
Just find a spot, pop the tent and settle in.
Although I probably spent more time getting the campsite level than actually setting up camp.

Mountains, forest or lakeside — where are you setting up?

Hello OMNP community! 🫶🏼

Don’t forget to vote today! (And every day until Oct 4th)

“Tensions in the North” needs your help!

I wanted to take a moment to share the story behind this image, because what you’re looking at is about far more than a polar bear and a raven.

This male had just emerged from the frigid arctic waters of Hudson Bay, crossed Polar Bear Alley and climbed to one of the highest points on the tundra to rest.

The raven, however, had other plans. 😂

For nearly 15 minutes, it relentlessly pestered him. Eventually, the bear had enough and took a swing. He missed, thankfully for the raven, but in those few moments, this image was born.

And the more I looked at it, the more it came to represent something bigger.

Survival. Pressure. Adaptation. Resilience.

Polar bears depend on sea ice to access their primary hunting grounds. As the Arctic changes and the ice-free season lengthens, those pressures become increasingly important to understand.

That is what Arctic Frontiers: Life at the Edge of a Changing World is about.

I’d love your vote, but every share also carries this story further.

More eyes on the image means more awareness for conservation, and more support for a small Canadian business using photography to make a difference.

Vote. Share. Help the story travel. 🐻‍❄️🫶🏼

Here is a video tutorial showing how to vote once you have clicked the link.

Circa 2023.

And just like that, it was time to pack up camp and hit the sandy trails again. But we still had a bit more exploring to do before making our way back to the main road.
