Did you know the very first Porsche dealership in the entire state of Florida was located right here in Miami Springs?

It’s true. The legacy began back in 1951, when Hubert Brundage started showcasing and selling his first imported cars directly out of the front room of Brundage Hardware. With the financial backing of Glenn Curtiss Jr., that passion project grew, and Brundage Motors was officially established in 1953.

This pioneering dealership originally opened its doors at 10 South Royal Poinciana Boulevard in Miami Springs, with supplementary offices located just around the corner at 17 Palmetto Drive. From a local hardware store to a legendary automotive empire, the Florida Porsche story started on our streets.

Now, it’s time to bring that rich history back to life.

We are officially inviting all Porsche owners to register their vehicles for the 3rd Annual Glenn Curtiss Vintage Motorcycle and Car Show, happening on November 7th, 2026, at the beautiful Miami Springs Circle.
To commemorate the birthplace of Florida’s Porsche history, we are designating a special display area named Brundage Brothers Lane, where all registered Porsches will be parked and showcased proudly alongside one another.

This year, we are featuring a separate, Porsche-only competition category. Vehicles will be divided between air-cooled and water-cooled classes, with dedicated subclasses for different models. Your vehicle will compete exclusively against other Porsches to win custom, Porsche-specific trophies!

Don’t miss your chance to honor the legacy of Brundage Motors and show off your ride. Register your Porsche today at glenncurtissvintagemotorcycleandcarshow.com.
We’ll see you on Brundage Brothers Lane! #porsche911 #porsche356 #miamiporsche #carshow

PORSCHE & RALLY?
Yes, Porsche & Rally.

Spotted this 911 during the Erzgebirgsrally!

Historical Background:
While Porsche is famous for tarmac circuits, its rally heritage runs deep. It began with the 911’s early victories at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1968, 1969, and 1970. The pinnacle came with the legendary all-wheel-drive Porsche 953 and 959, which dominated the brutal Paris-Dakar Rally in 1984 and 1986. Today, modern GT3 rally cars keep that rear-engine rally spirit alive on local stages around the world.

Fun Fact:
Rally legend Walter Röhrl once famously stated that racing a rear-wheel-drive Porsche 911 in the rally scene requires a completely unique driving style: “In a 911, you have to turn in early and start accelerating before the corner even begins to keep the rear planted.”

Amidst Ulu Langat's countryside, our lunch stop at this seafood & beer joint afforded the opportunity to take in more visual perspectives of this well driven Porsche 991.2 911 GT3 RS Weissach. Honestly, I think it's 1 of the final RennSport 911s where everything feels like a naturally extended evolution of its generation's GT breed; from that screaming 9000 rpm boxer-6 to the downforce enhancing front fender louvres & unmistakable rear wing.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's hardcore yet precisely balanced, distinctive yet utterly well and thoughtfully designed through & through. Its confident clarity comes from a very clear positioning as an ultimately honed scalpel of a driving instrument. Surgically measured, not overblown or shouty; advanced enough to thrill its pilot, without needing to make any theatrical statements about itself. Like just about every other Porsche here on that day, it's every bit one for the real drivers, not clout chasing posers.

Porsche 996 911 GT2 looking properly sharp in action as it headed off for our lunch stop that morning. Tactilely raw, tautly physical in its on-road demeanour & absolutely demanding of your fullest focus and respect to get the best out of it, it's that inimitable character that instantly sets it apart from so many more modern & capable yet distractingly insulated performance machines. This one is no stranger to well actioned living out on the open tarmac either, having garnered many adventurous miles beneath its wheels from Malaysia to even Thailand's enthralling roads.

Always great to see this Porsche 996 911 GT2 in Midnight Blue Metallic (Nachtblau Pearl; 39C / 37W) getting some ideal road exercise in on these properly executed drives, living out its adventurously well driven life to the fullest.

Although it's not talked about much next to all the flashier, more exotic stuff that seems to dominate headlines nowadays, make no mistake that the Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 remains an absolute gem of a drivers' car. Incredibly agile & responsive, free of electronic over-interference, more analogue in its own way and thrillingly rewarding to punt hard through a favourite bit of twisty road, it absolutely hails from a time not that long ago when Stuttgart still knew what matters most when it comes to making driving focused machines without compromise.

Another 132 km of punchy straights & thrilling apexes into the Titi Kong region later, our stop for coffee came at a place that would likely be familiar to many a local enthusiast driver around here. Thus far this had indeed proven to be 1 of the best proper driving routes I've personally experienced: tightly twisting yet superbly fast flowing, and a real treat for focused drivers who are as dedicated to their craft as these are. Sections of it even truly felt like the Nurburgring Nordschleife at times, much to our delight.

80 km in through the more curvy parts of the Pedas & Rembau regions with this Porsche 991.2 911 GT3 RS Weissach, a quick fuel stop provided a welcome breather before carrying on with this drive that was quickly proving to be another truly rewarding test of both cars & drivers. Fortunately they proved to be more than up to the challenge, reveling in the spirit of things; amidst the rest of car culture that is sadly becoming too much about performative showboating nowadays, it's really rewarding to be part of and learn from a community that still focuses on that which matters most: the thrill of driving, nothing else.
