💗Meet our Guest of Honor, professional model and breast cancer survivor Christine Handy! She will inspire audiences with her story in the film “Hello Beautiful,” based on her bestselling book. The film, set in Boston, features Tricia Helfer as Willow and is directed by award-winning Ziad Hamzeh, showcasing Christine’s journey through high fashion and her battle with breast cancer as a testament to resilience and hope.

Happy #flattiefriday friends!

This week I received a gift from another flattie - @flatandfreemama - an awesome hat that says Flat AF. It made me smile and giggle a little bit, and reminded me that when I started sharing my story here, there was next to no representation for flatties I could find.

I started sharing my story - shouting into the void. I got more than I bargained for with community violations and shadowbanning for showing my scars. I also got the trolls who just loved calling me a man, and the pearl clutchers who told me they were offended by my mutilated chest.

But I also found community. Other people who had gone flat before me and were living their best lives. Other people that were considering going flat. Other people that were struggling with their new body shapes and loss of femininity.

My story is ongoing. My scars tell the story. Your scars tell your story - and I want to hear it.
