POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

JULY 28, 2026. A FaceTime call no father should ever have to witness. 💔

I am sharing this recording because I believe my children’s safety, their voices, and their right to have a relationship with their father deserve to be taken seriously.

In this recording, my daughter is accused of breaking the rules simply because she wanted to continue communicating with me, her father. What I witnessed left me deeply concerned about how my children are being treated.

Since July 1, I have been fighting to protect my three children and preserve our relationship.

Two requests for temporary orders of protection involving their maternal grandparents have been denied by Judge RIENNE MCELYEA, despite the serious concerns I have raised and blood found in my daughters urine from suspected sexual abuse. Those denials do not erase my concerns or my responsibility to continue seeking answers.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is that there is another option.

Our family has a vacant, fully furnished, four-bedroom home in Belgrade, Montana. My children could be living there with their mother, in a home with room for all three of them, rather than remaining in a living arrangement about which I have repeatedly raised safety concerns.

I am not asking anyone to take allegations as proven facts. I am asking that the evidence be examined, that my children’s safety be independently assessed, and that their voices be heard.

Wanting to speak to your father should never be a reason for a child to be punished.

I love my children. I miss them every day. And I will continue advocating for their safety, their well-being, and their right to be loved without fear.

Please help keep attention on the need for a fair, thorough, and independent examination of these concerns.

ONE day. That’s how long the kid health lasted before my son was up coughing all night. But I’ll take it. Door-knocking is really one of my favorite parts of this job (along with writing the bill). I don’t understand how anyone can make decisions for Montanans without going out and talking to people where they are. We just cannot learn enough from our small social circles. Hey I even saw signs for my opponent, which proves he’s alive and well even though he doesn’t answer questionnaires or come to forums. Capital! Bring it. 💃

FIRST and foremost: ANY extra local-option tax WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE VOTERS! This was left out of the @dailyinterlake article, and it’s the central crux of my answer. I would never consider this without majority voter approval. I also wouldn’t consider it without some property tax relief by taking line items off of our property taxes. It would only make sense if it diverts money that would otherwise go to the general fund to specific infrastructure without adding to residents’ overall tax burden. It’s an idea and has some merit, but the VOTERS decide.

Question: “The 2025 session’s property tax bills (HB 231, SB 542) shifted who pays rather than reducing overall collections and it had significant unintended consequences on certain communities including Kalispell. We have few second homes, and have focused on expanding multi family housing so the bulk of the shift from primary homeowners went onto commercial property owners who experienced 10 – 40% increases. Do you see an opportunity in the 2027 session to mediate these impacts…if so, how?”

Who I am in a nutshell and why I’m running.

1) school funding: fix the formula
2) protect Medicaid and rural healthcare
3) protect public lands and public access to them
4) minimize property tax for MT residents, including on family cabins, and capitalize on our tourist and luxury second-home industry

📣Flathead Valley‼️ PARADE OF HOMES is coming up!

Sept 18th VIP Night
Sept 19-20th open to the public

What an honor to go behind the build with some fellow builders in our community to showcase their homes in all categories. There is truly something for everyone at this year’s Parade of Homes spanning from Lakeside, Big Fork, Kalispell, to Whitefish.

Special thanks to @terryhomesmt1994 for inviting us in to go behind the scenes and behind the build for the home they entered this year.

Welcome to 520 Eagle Valley Drive in Kalispell, MT.

I was struck by their desire to create a home to serve a wide range of homeowners but with very specific thoughtful details for young families and likewise, couples looking to age in place, living in one home and one special community to be a part of.

I can’t wait to see it all finished & furnished first-hand during the show and invite you to bring your friends and family to tour it too!

Whether you are looking for inspo, an available home, a builder to build your dream home, or you are a subtrade looking to network, don’t miss the opportunity to see the homes and meet the Builders this year. There’s truly something for everyone!

Brought to you by the Flathead Building Association, the non-profit supporting the building industry and trade professionals in the Flathead Valley.

Head to their website to snag your early bird tickets.

For Maury, Journalism is a family business… and this is not your average visit from the boss!

Maury and @conniechungpovich established the @flatheadbeacon newspaper to serve their Montana community, and nearly 20 years later, the independent newspaper is thriving!
