Warrior Awards 2025✨

How beautiful it is to witness our community’s growth. 🌱
I remember about nine years ago, it was just a handful of us. Now, seeing not only familiar faces but so many new ones is truly inspiring. The impact this movement has had on our songwriting community is monumental.
Sona has made me feel understood through the years, and that’s what makes this group so special , it reminds us that we’re all fighting for the same cause: equality in the music industry.
I don’t come out of my cave very often these days, but when Sona puts on an event like Warrior awards, celebrating change and community, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be there.
Thank you, Sona, for always being a voice for those who are heard by many but understood by few.🛸🫶🏼

The 67th Grammy Awards® BTS + 🏆🏆🏆

Lots of dreams came true that night! ❤️

@sabrinacarpenter always looked up to @taylorswift and she ended up not only being one of the nominees on some of the same categories, but also winning. That took years, but it happened… 🏆

The Gloria Estefan presenting @shakira … I still remember when she was starting out and learned she studied English so hard and fast so she can work on her first English Album. Watching the music community standing by her in the hardest year of her life was very sweet to watch… It’s the spirit that we all aspire to! 🥹

@beyonce ‘s risky choice to write a different genre and winning was very inspirational because I want to write in different genres as well. Creative freedom is the ultimate desire for all artists in different aspects. Me like 👍🙏

@theweeknd ‘s surprise comeback made everyone roaring with excitement! 🎶👏

@angelavbenson and her husband @mattbworld worked their behinds off, and not only they were nominated, they won!!!!!!!! Indie artists: pay attention…

@jesaiah on the red carpet among the stars and also being recognized in different publications with them put a big huge smile on my face. I know how hard J works. Her mom @flaviacbaer being also by her side is just inspiring. Yes to family supporting and being there!

Can you spot Tatay, @chappellroan and @iamcardib ?

W/ @thecoryyoung 🎶🎶🎶 new music coming soon 👀

To my mentors, family, and the incredible community at @wearesona_ —thank you for everything you do for songwriters. After spending some time away from LA, returning for the Warrior Awards was exactly what I needed. Reuniting with everyone after nearly a year was deeply inspiring and reignited my drive to keep pushing forward.

Being surrounded by so many passionate voices, all gathered to bring equality to the music industry and honor those shaping our songwriting community, was powerful. Thank you for reminding us that no songwriter stands alone on this journey toward meaningful change. Here’s to solidarity, resilience, and the blessings the future holds for us all. ✨ #WarriorAwards #Songwriters #WeAreSONA”

It’s National Volunteer Week! SONA volunteers are some of our favorite people on the planet, and we’re always looking for more dedicated people to join our crew, whether it’s with helping us run events, getting deep into research, or spreading the word about our organization. In return, volunteers get valuable networking, mentorship and career-building opportunities.

We host virtual volunteer meetings on the last Sunday of every month. The next one is this Saturday, April 27, at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern. SONA members will receive an email with signup details. Not a member? Be sure to join!

Visiting the desert sands that once spoke to me 2 years ago was pure divinity. When I first visited this place, I dreamed of filming a music video here, never did I imagine that dream would come true.✨🙏🏼
