Got to visit the release of @norsemap in St. Peters in the city centre on Saturday night, not only was it beautiful to see so many people interested in the history and creation of our lands but to hear Einar tell stories, poems and songs from his culture and country was incredible. He had a powerful voice that echoed throughout the hall, I really wished it was a full concert. #vikings #corkcity #iviking #ucc #northmainstreet

💪 The book community is strong and mighty, and with the guarantee that lots of people will be looking for book recommendations for their summer holidays, why don’t we join forces and share the books we think would make an excellent summer read?! ☀️

Whether it’s book recommendations for the beach, or books you think are must-reads, I’d love to see us all share our recommendations together! So if you’re up for a Bookstagram summer collab then let’s unite the book community and add the hashtag #YourSummerReadingList2025 to your posts/reviews/reels and share it on your stories so people can find a list of recommendations in the one place!

Let me know below if you’ll be joining in! ⬇️

🍂🍁 Hello Autumn🍁🍂

What’s your favourite thing about Autumn?

Is everything an acceptable answer? It’s my favourite time of year. 😍 Fluffy scarves, hot chocolate, roaring fire, crunchy leaves, grey skies and goggy mornings!! Bliss.

I love this photo, looking at it makes me want to scrapbook some more. 😂

Big thanks to @booksandbarbara for tagging me in this challenge a lifetime ago 😍

🫖 Earl Grey: a book with strong characters
☕️ The Illuminae Files, hands down!! What they go through...

🫖 Chai Tea: a book with spice
☕️ Need for Speed by Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank. It’s M/M 😍

🫖 Mint Tea: a palette cleanser
☕️ I tend to reread Relentless by Karen Lynch in between books to have a bit of comfort. Another one would be Well Met by Jen DeLuca.

🫖 Chamomile Tea: a book that feels like a warm hug
☕️ A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross. If you want to believe in magic, read this book!

🫖 Rooibos Tea: a book with a smooth talker
☕️ A Court of Mist and Fury!! I’m talking about you, Rhysand Darling!

🫖 Green Tea: a classic that won’t dissapoint
☕️ Can we start calling Twilight a classic yet?? 👀😋

🫖 English Breakfast Tea: a book that you can read over and over again
☕️ That’s a mighty list!! I’m going to say, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson.

What a hell of a weekend, celebrating the wedding of our friends Rob & Sarah, meeting up with Siobhan for dinner and then finishing it all off with a trip to Croke park for Coldplay’s last show on tour. #weddings #love #maryborough #goldierestaurant #bottleofbubbly #fish #dublin #crokepark #coldplaydublin #musicofthespheresworldtour

It’s been a long time coming but finally got back into @elbowlanecork. As usual from start to finished the whole experience was perfect, from cocktails to sides - perfect. #corkcity #foodstagram #steak #elbowlane #microbrewary #cocktails

🚩 RED FLAGS 🚩

Picture it; you're curled up with a book after a long week. Your favourite drink in hand, comfy clothes, and a random object as your bookmark because damn it if you can't locate a single one from your collection.

You turn the pages (or tap the e-reader), waiting for the familiar feeling of being pulled into a new world and out of your own. To escape reality in favour of something with bank heists, or dragons, or a romance with that aggravatingly handsome stranger (are those dimples?!)

But then you see it.

No, the author wouldn't. They COULDN'T.

But there it is, in all its glory.

A red flag. 🚩

Now, I'm sure all of us have our own make or break flags when it comes to reading. Those that we say "ew, no" to, and those that make us throw the book to the other side of the sofa and 1 star it on Goodreads.

So, tell me people!

What's your literary ick? 👇

Le Grá,

Ell x
