Having two girls, fairies are a fan favourite and this book brings fairies to life in such an engaging way.

Throughout the book you are guided through the hidden fairy world and are made privy to all the fairy secrets you could ever want to know!

Child or grown up I thought this book hit the spot and we loved reading about all the fairy secrets.

We learnt about fairy clouds, plants, food, dust, mountains and so much more.

Even better, there's a built in bookmark as it's a LOT of fairy info to take in at once and you absolutely do not want to miss a thing!

Its publication day for the US edition of ‘Secrets From The Fairy World’ 🧚 ✨ I love the pink version of the cover for the US market, and the foil is a shimmering red 🥰 It still feels quite surreal to be holding this book in my hands after months of work in my studio illustrating tiny fairies with big personalities!

This is the second book in a beautiful series by @flcbooks and @quartokids and wonderfully written by @saskiagwinn and Evander Acorncup.

I hope my American friends will enjoy it and pick up a copy, or two! 🧚✨

As someone who really enjoys the story of Alice in Wonderland, it was so fun to be able to share a simple version of the story with my kids.

The added musical component made it feels really special and I appreciated how well the music worked with the story. It really came to life in my mind and judging by my kids reactions, theirs too.

Gorgeous book all round and we need to get our hands on some of the others from the series.

😘 Get @reshare_app • @mrsbrownsbookbox Thank you Catherine Barr for a wonderful and inspiring morning. You brought animals and nature to life for the children.

Huge congratulations on completing half of your Big Walk to Little Schools. Cornwall to North Yorkshire is no mean feat! Good luck with the next stage in 2027 and hope it doesn’t rain too continuously the next 3 days as you complete this part!

Thank you for doing something so wonderful to highlight the importance of nature and also to bring author visits to areas and schools that for a wide range of reasons struggle to access this incredibly valuable opportunity.

I love Catherine’s stunning non-fiction books. They have such brilliant curriculum links as well as fascinating facts and gorgeous illustrations and I am excited to add some new ones to the library.

💙♿ This is the sweetest story of a daughter and her dad. The dad is in a wheelchair, and the girl celebrates how amazing her father is at all the important things - from cuddles to helping with the floaties. ✨

This heartwarming book gently shows that the wheelchair is only one small part of who her dad is and encourages readers to see people for the things they can do rather than jumping to conclusions about the things they can't. 💙

📚Sunday Stories📚
.
Happy Sunday everyone (well that’s the day this went up anyway). We got some really amazing book mail from Quarto Kids. Of corse I’ll be sharing these individually as well but I couldn’t wait to show these. It was hard to know where to start with this stack! One has a built in game, some have music that go along with the story, some are cookbooks, and all are fantastic.

Here’s a list of titles included:

Spin to Survive Dinosaur Island

On Board

Extraordinary Europe

Little People, Big Dreams Tchaikovsky

Listen to the Music The Composers

The Día de Los Muertos Cookbook

The Blue Corn Kitchen

The Paper Girl

Little Ghost and the Robot

The Incredible Other Side

A Christmas Full of Poetry

Secrets From the Fairy World

The Magic Bedtime Train Ride

A Universe Full of Stories
.
Thank you so much @quartokids for the books!
.
Based on the title or cover alone which of these would you read first?

📚❤️The point of picture books is to introduce children to the world of reading in a joyful, visual way that builds language, imagination, and confidence.
