“Work hard and you’ll do okay.”

I built my whole life on it. Planning, pushing, overriding my body, burning myself out and thinking that was just what it took.

Underneath that one was so many others I never thought to question. That rest had to be earned. That my value lived in what I produced. That being strong meant carrying it all on my own. That the next thing would finally be the thing that made me feel whole.
None of it was true. I just believed it for a long time.

What I was really doing was living almost entirely in my masculine. The drive, the doing, the push. And somewhere along the way I abandoned my feminine completely. The softness, the feeling, the part of me that knows.

Here’s what I know now. A woman’s power was never in how hard she can push. It’s in everything she carries underneath. The depth, the knowing, the rhythm most people never slow down long enough to feel.

We were never meant to live in the masculine alone. The strength was always in the balance between both. The feminine and the masculine held in the same woman. Knowing when to build and when to soften. When to move and when to rest. When to push and when to sit still and listen.

Back to her. Back to myself.
