Meet Linda aka @floatingflowersuk! Her business was born during lockdown 2020 when she found a flower press tucked away in a cupboard while looking for things to keep the kids entertained. They pressed flowers from the garden and made bookmarks for the loved ones they were missing at the time. Unfortunately, the children's interest in this diminished, but Linda's did not! She started off making frames and then progressed into resin work, prints and greetings cards. Likes: Nature, chocolate and hippos. Dislikes: Heights, tiredness and coffee. Products you can find in UNITY: Pocket hugs, earrings, prints and bookmarks. 💚💚💚

CROWDFUNDER UPDATE A massive thanks to every individual and all the local businesses that have already supported our crowdfunding attempt. The following amazing local businesses have chosen to support us by selecting one of our corporate sponsorship packages. @jpbsigns, @bshrecycling, @allbright_property_maintenance, @frmautomotive, @gpprintltd, @commercialsecure & Playfords. You still have time to join us in creating Cambridgeshire’s largest collaborative community project! We’re inviting you to be part of an incredible initiative uniting 100 local businesses and countless individuals to positively impact 30,000 lives every year. We're going to raise £50,000 to expand our projects, secure the future of Up The Garden Bath (UTGB), and continue creating vibrant green spaces where communities can grow, learn, and connect. This is your opportunity to invest in a sustainable future through our reward based UNITY campaign, hosted on Crowdfunder. Every contribution not only fuels our mission but also earns you a tangible reward as a token of appreciation. Why Support Us? By supporting UTGB, you’ll help us: ● Educate Future Generations: Teach children hands-on lessons about sustainability and environmental stewardship. ● Fight Food Poverty: Turn neglected spaces into productive gardens that grow fresh, local food. ● Champion Recycling: Transform waste into meaningful, repurposed creations. ● Build Community: Bring together people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to connect and thrive. ● Boost Local Economies: Sustain our UNITY retail space in Queensgate Shopping Centre, which has already generated thousands of pounds for local businesses. How Your Contribution Helps Your support will allow us to: ● Install more upcycled planters in schools and community spaces. ● Maintain and expand UNITY, our collaborative retail space that supports small businesses. ● Provide education, skill-building opportunities, and environmental action projects. Together, we can transform waste into opportunity and create a brighter, greener future for all. Learn more and claim your sponsorship package here: bit.ly/UTGB50k

We had a triple celebration this past weekend, and Kev Lawrence from PCRFM visited our store to have a chat. We had plenty to talk about, including.... ● The 1st Anniversary of our UNITY store in Queensgate Peterborough ● Generating over £400k in sales revenue for small local businesses. ● Signing a new 3 year lease to continue our UNITY project. We also discussed how UTGB wants to expand our impact and help even more people. We’re now attempting to raise £50,000 via a rewards based corporate sponsorship crowfunder. Aviva Community Fund have agreed to match any new donations on a £1 to £1 basis up to a maximum amount of £250 per unique supporter and our project can now receive up to a maximum of £50,000 additional funding! How You Can Support Us Although our rewards packages are predominantly targeted towards businesses, we want to make this crowdfunding attempt accessible to everyone who wishes to show their support. Individual Donations Every single pound counts. Whether you can give £1 or £100, every contribution helps our cause enormously, and even the smallest of donations goes a long way. Your kind contribution will allow us to continue our projects, and we really appreciate your support. (Please only donate to our cause if you are in a suitable financial position to do so). Corporate Sponsorship: Align your brand with sustainability and community development. We offer a variety of sponsorship packages, all of which provide visibility and engagement opportunities through our community projects across Cambridgeshire. Your brand will be seen by up to 500,000 people a year!! By contributing, you're not just supporting UTGB. You’re investing in a future where communities thrive together. With your help, we can make a difference for over 30,000 people each year, providing hands-on learning, creating green spaces, and fostering connections among people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Let’s grow a greener, more inclusive future together! #Sustainability #CommunityImpact #UpTheGardenBath Find out more here: bit.ly/UTGB50k

We’ve just wrapped up 50 days of FREE summer activities at UNITY, our collaborative community retail project in @queensgate_pb During this time, over 3,000 people participated in a wide variety of events, including music-making with vegetables, graffiti street art, arts and crafts, and planting workshops.
