Floë Brown may have opened the evening, but she left a lasting impression at her Bar Chord gig last night. Just 17 and a student at the BRIT School, she delivered a polished and captivating set that immediately won over the packed crowd. Slight in stature, with a guitar that seemed almost bigger than she was, Floë carried herself with quiet confidence, letting her music do the talking.

The accompanying clip features her cover of Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather, and the comparison is unavoidable. Floë’s delicate, beautifully controlled voice closely echoed Eilish's trademark intimacy, yet never felt like an imitation. Every note felt carefully placed, showcasing a performer completely immersed in the song and its emotions.

Perhaps the most remarkable moment of her set, however, was her rendition of Minnie Riperton's Loving You. Taking on such a vocally demanding classic is a bold choice for any singer, but Floë rose to the challenge effortlessly, hitting every high note with clarity and confidence. The audience was visibly wowed, and rightly so. For someone so young, Floë Brown displayed the poise, vocal ability and musical maturity of an artist with a very bright future ahead of her.
