For the 4th year in a row, I’ll be part of Hockley Hustle, performing at @okendecoffee 🪩

This year feels particularly special because @hockleyhustle are celebrating their 20th year of Hustling. TWO WHOLE DECADES! What a blessing. 😍

50+ venues will be hosting some of Nottingham’s best artists (even if I do say so me sen. 💅🏾), all coming together for one brilliant day of music, arts, community and, most importantly, raising money for charity.

HH’s 2026 target is £20,000 — and I know we can do it. 🙌🏾

So cop yourself a wristband, because it’s a donation! Tell a fren fi tell a fren! 📣

Being charitable and having access to music and arts all day?! Win-win, pals. 💃🏾

Come support, come vibe, come catch a tune, and help us make this 20th year one to remember.

See you thereee! ✨

FLORAL PATTERN @ INVENTION FESTIVAL 2026
ELECTRIC DAISY 1PM

FLORAL PATTERN is a crying-in-the-club Jazz project based in the East Midlands, led by saxophonist and composer Myles Noble. Blending the raw energy of UK soundsystem culture with the innovation of the contemporary jazz scene, the band crafts euphoric, improvisation-heavy performances that are both psychedelic and rhythmically intense. Expect hard-hitting horn lines, driving Afrobeat and Jungle-inspired drums, and bold experiments in live electronic processing.

They’ve shared stages with acts like the Neue Grafik Ensemble and Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, and have built a reputation for high-energy sets across Derby, Nottingham, and Sheffield. Recently they’ve played at venues such as Peggy’s Skylight, and have just returned from playing a set at We Out Here.

“Before long, people were moving, dancing and completely immersed in the music. The band’s adventurous spirit was matched by exceptional musicianship, particularly from the saxophone player whose performance added huge energy throughout the set.” - TRENDNG

StarDisco last night was something else.

Electroni Kongo absolutely brought the party with full@on afrobeat electronica vibes.

Thanks so much to everyone that played. @boo_kickz @flor.alpattern @jamesglewmusic and the mighty @lordgid for ending proceedings with an incredible set.

Now onwards for Gig on the Roof day 2!

🤔 Want to dance on a hilltop looking out across the Dales?
😍 Want to support three local charities while you do it?
😛 We can help with that...

Tickets are still available for this year's StarDisco. There's a smorgasbord of live music from 5 acts culminating in samba drumming before I get let loose with a couple of hours of wild, cosmic dancefloor goodies. There will be soul, afrobeat & highlife, disco, house music, dub and whatever curveballs I think I can get away with...

All profits are donated to Derbyshire Refugee Society and Stoney Wood Group and the bar is run by Young Futures.

You can find the ticket link below, and also via StarDisco.co.uk, @dubrekstudios and I'll pin it in my stories shortly (and on the Stranger Tractor group).

Live music from:
Electroni Kongo
Beatwirks
James Glew
Floral Pattern
Boo Kickz

Next weekend I'm closing out this year's charity fundraising StarDisco with a couple of hours of wild, cosmic dancefloor goodness. A chance to dance not just under the stars but on them...

The StarDisc is also the best place around here to get abducted by aliens so I'll be trying to make them feel welcome and show them as much different Earth music as possible. If I don't post after next weekend you'll know why 👽

You can find the ticket link via StarDisco.co.uk, or @dubrekstudios and I'll pin it in my stories shortly (and on the Stranger Tractor group).
