Moving fluidly between handwork and industrial fabrication, Flora Lechner’s (@flora_manon) objects explore tension without becoming rigid, maintaining a sense of lightness, clarity, and attention to detail. Her practice dwells in oppositions, rather than resolving it, keeping form and material open, light and precise. The Stamen Light table lamp takes floral anatomy as its symbolic and structural starting point. Delicate, branching elements are multiplied and reassembled into complex formations that suggest growth, repetition and transformation. The Compound Umbel ceiling lamp draws on Daucus carota, the wild carrot. Its lace-like geometry is multiplied into formations that oscillate between organic growth and constructed system. Through material and form, opposing qualities coincide: organic and technical, soft and hard, intuition and engineering. Industrial materials and mechanical components are shaped into delicate, floral or bodily forms, objects that resist fixed readings and hover between decorative presence and functional use. Well-being is no longer understood as an inner state, but as a visible achievement that must be produced, optimized, and presented. The promise is always the same: a healthier, more successful life. The body becomes a project of constant improvement, resting a productive activity, and self-care yet another form of work. Wellness appears as a universal formula and a digital buzzword for self-actualisation and well-being. What promises to slow us down ultimately follows the same mechanisms that shape our everyday lives: efficiency, comparability, availability, and discipline. Yet a fundamental question remains: When did we lose the ability to listen to our inner voice? And what does wellness mean to us as individuals? How can we find our way back to sensory experience, intuition, and a sense of well-being? We took a few days off to recharge a little before starting to share the first photos from our very first exhibition and getting to work on the next one. With this message, we simply want to thank everyone who made this first edition of RADICA possible: all the participants, @metahaven and @nvisible.studio above all, our partners, sponsors, donors, friends, colleagues, @designacademyeindhoven for the immense talents of designers it produces and brings into the world every year, @mala____mind for the trust and most importantly the biggest thanks goes to our parents. It has been an indescribable experience, a mix of emotions, encounters, unexpected moments and memories that we will hardly ever forget. RADICA started as an idea: a dream of bringing a project with an international imprint into a new context, creating an opportunity and cultivating a vision we deeply believed in. A dream that, over these months, became something much bigger, thanks to all the people who believed in it and chose to be part of it. We couldn’t be more grateful. Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue sharing photos, videos and materials from this first edition, while also working behind the scenes on what comes next, hopefully without boring you too much. “take one just in case” Opening: 10 Sept, 6–9 PM Exhibition: 11–13 Sept, 11 AM–7 PM Tesson Project Space 10 rue Tesson, Paris At Paris Design Week 2026, “Take One Just in Case” transforms Tesson Project Space into a dense and generous bazaar. The exhibition brings together more than 40 objects by 27 French and international designers and artists, invited to reinterpret a bazaar archetype: hair clips, school supplies, fans, toilet paper holders, power strips, and other ordinary (in)essentials. Usually absent from contemporary design fairs, the anonymous and familiar objects of the bazaar become the starting point for new bodies of work. They form a polyphonic collection: often functional, sometimes decorative; sturdy or fragile, unnecessary yet essential. OPENING - SHELTER for design | 🫂🫧🥁 In a world filled with tension and acceleration, SHELTER invites visitors to reflect and seek connection. The group exhibition opens on Sunday, June 21, at @icoon_hoekvanholland , a museum for minimal art and design housed in a former bunker. The show redefines the site’s original defensive purpose as a space for dialogue and optimism. At the heart of La Casa Magica, four practices coming from different geographical and cultural contexts engage with ritual, ancestral mythologies, and archetypes of the domestic sphere. Made By ASTRONAUTS (@madebyastronauts) reflects on the histories of women healers through sculptural furniture that reclaims care, birth, desire, and healing as forms of resistance. Drawing on Daucus carota—a wildflower traditionally associated with protection—Flora Lechner (@flora_manon) translates its intricate umbels into luminous, techno-organic forms reminiscent of engineered components. Designed by Clara Schweers (@claerira) the Portale mirrors reimagine the mirror as a domestic portal between realities, where the reflective surface becomes a site of doubling, truth and passage. Meanwhile, David Aliperti (@princemonkey) grounds his practice in Umbanda traditions and Brazilian botanical knowledge, creating hand-built paper clay sculptures that serve as intimate guardians of memory, spirituality, and the unseen. Together, these works restore the house as a place of belief and transformation, where objects become powerful, active talismans. Turbin Axis, Chandelier Flora Lechner Flora Lechner의 Turbin Axis Chandelier는 꽃과 식물을 연상시키는 유기적인 형태의 조명 작업이다. 이 형상은 자연의 외형을 본뜬 것이 아니라, 평면을 입체로 끌어올리는 작가의 제작 방식에서 자연스럽게 따라 나온 결과다. 작가는 평면의 금속 판재를 패턴으로 떠서 레이저로 잘라낸 뒤, 조각들을 손으로 구부리고 층층이 겹친다. 표면을 잘게 해체했다가 다시 짜맞추는 이 방식을 작가는 '퍼즐링(puzzling)'이라 부른다. 작은 조각이 반복적으로 모여 하나의 덩어리를 이루는 과정은, 식물이 점진적으로 생장하며 제 구조를 만들어가는 생성 원리와 포개진다. 감추지 않은 나사와 리벳, 용접 자국은 장식으로 확장되고, 자연과 인공·구조와 장식은 어느 한쪽으로 환원되지 않은 채 한 몸으로 머문다. Turbin Axis Chandelier by Flora Lechner is a lighting work that evokes the organic forms of flowers and plants. This form is not an imitation of nature's appearance; it follows naturally from the artist's method of raising a flat plane into volume. Flat sheet metal is patterned and laser-cut, then bent and layered by hand. The artist calls this method "puzzling": a surface is broken into small fragments and pieced back together into a larger form. These small fragments gather again and again into a single body, a process that overlaps with the way a plant gradually grows into its own structure. Screws, rivets, and welds are left exposed and extend into ornament, so that nature and fabrication, structure and decoration coexist as one rather than being reduced to either.

Just *some* of the things we wanted to take home 🥹 Over the weekend, @basic.space popped up in London - marking the first international stop in the platform’s multi-city event series. Filled with galleries, independent designers, artists - it was a treasure trove of stuff that captured the energy of London’s creative scene. ⁠ “London has always been one of my favorite places in the world because of its influence in shaping culture, whether it’s music or the arts as a broader category,” founder Jesse Lee told us. ⁠ ⁠ “There’s a certain respect for the underground and excitement for something subversive that can become popular – without compromise.”⁠ While lots was (massively) out of our price range, as you’ll see, it’s always nice to look!
