When making the pieces, completely new combinations sometimes emerge. Like this one! We also experimented with a few new color combinations for the paper part. Some of these you can see next weekend 21st of April at @mercanticsantcugat ! Using recycled skate decks for the sides and wheels wasn’t a random choice. Flow has been a fan of Haroshi’s artwork for a while and always dreamed of incorporating those color patterns in a unique way. We cut out pieces for the cars from flat skateboards, utilizing the first layer of paint beneath the grip. By heating up and peeling off the grip, we reveal the colors, and after sanding, it becomes even more interesting.
We’re discovering our preferred color combinations, like the grey wood base matched with the black and grey paper top. It becomes even more exciting when we’re tasked with creating specific colors for personalizations. Fortunately, collecting recycled skate decks isn’t a big challenge in Barcelona. It turned out that we live just 2 minutes away from Sour Solution | @soursolution it couldn’t get more local than that! 🛹

When we made these toys, we were really concerned about how they might affect the environment. 🌍We're both into designing and crafting, and we wanted to find a way to blend these two interests together.🤓
What you're looking at is a toy crafted from an unusual mix of ingredients: dry bread, seawater, recycled skateboards, and compressed paper scraps, all cleverly shaped into a car.
We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do, and our kids! ☺️

Our toys are entirely handmade. However, without the valuable collaborations for materials and the shared workshop right here in Barcelona, launching this project would have been quite challenging.
For this, we're grateful, allowing us to enjoy the pure fun of creating and learning.

@florent_d_heilly , it's what he enjoys the most!

The Station Wagon is the first design that Flo | @florent_d_heilly created, and in the last couple of months, we've made changes, improvements, and added small accessories to spark imagination.
A small detail can change the whole story.👇🏻
