Our final anniversary is here.

The Sun turns 3 on Saturday 23 May, and because our building will be demolished at the end of this year, this is officially our last trip around the sun.

One day. One building. One very full program.

Live bands, exhibitions, food, kids workshops, games, living-room atmosphere, and from 22:00 onwards, a DJ program for anyone who wants to dance until 04:00.

This is not just a party. It is a fundraiser, a celebration, and a small piece of Rotterdam’s creative history happening while it is still possible to be inside it.

Tickets are in bio. @thesun.rdam

11 days to go. Last anniversary. It will sell out. Be quick.

SATURDAY 23 MAY 2026
13:00 – 04:00

THE LAST TRIP AROUND THE SUN ☀️

On Saturday 23 May, we celebrate 3 years of The Sun.
But also, our final anniversary…

At the end of this year, our beloved building will be demolished. The Sun will officially be homeless from 31 December 2026, marking the end of another creative space in a city that like everywhere else in the world, is subject to its own gentrification cycles.

So this one matters.

For one full day, we’re filling the building with everything The Sun has become over the last three years: live music, exhibitions, food, kids workshops, games, organized chaos, beautiful people, living-room energy, and eventually, yes, completely uncontrollable dancing.

During the day, it’s fully kid-friendly, with a @cubcho_ workshop, exhibitions, food, bands and live acts.

From 22:00, the night shifts into a paced DJ program for those who want to properly dance around the sun one last time.

This is a fundraiser, a celebration, a goodbye-before-the-goodbye, and a chance to support one of Rotterdam’s independent creative communities while it is still here.

Come early. Bring your friends. Bring your kids. Bring your sentimental little heart.

Tickets are in our bio. @thesun.rdam

There are only 11 days to go, and because this is our last anniversary, we do expect it to sell out. Don’t wait until your cooler friend tells you they already got theirs.

Are you ready for the Sunniest weekend of the year?

We're starting the weekend with some performances on Friday by our own crew and a nice soup dinner.
Saturday will be fully lit with workshops for kids and adults, live music from many artists, of the Sun but also friends, massive sunny polenta and an intense afterparty by amazing artists and DJs.
Sunday we're winding down back to life with a beautiful projection installation and a movie that was the inspiration for our graffiti.
