Sometimes Pilates is about micro progressions. Here, with @erica.almodovar, I’m working on creating more space, better mobility, and greater extension through my thoracic spine. The photos at the end were taken the day after, with @vivianpicconejung @authenticpilatesnyc , showing the continued mobility. That is the power of the method ❤️💪🏼 #pilatescommunity #pilateseducator #pilatesmentor #classicalpilates Edited by @flowbyrafa

For baseball pitchers and any rotational, throwing-dependent athlete, it all starts long before the ball leaves the hand. Force has to travel from the ground, through the feet, ankles, legs, hips, and trunk into the arm, requiring balance, rotation, sequencing, control, and effective hip-to-shoulder separation. Here’s a look at how rotational mechanics that support more efficient throwing can be explored through Pilates training in the work of Korean Master Instructor Garam Kim. Here he is utilizing a rotating disc on the Cadillac Machine to refine balance, control, separation, and force transfer from the ground up.
