We are returning to Nairobi, Kenya for another year with an an experience that is bigger and better 🫶🏾

This year, we’re diving deep into R&B + Neo-Soul, curating a playlist of some of your favourite artists from Usher to Beyoncé, Leon Thomas and Sasha Keable, plus a special guest artist and most importantly yearning. Lots of yearning.

This edition is a collaboration with Voice & Vision, a vocal masterclass experience. Warming the crowd with games such as ‘Guess the Song’, to it’s ‘One Room, Three Parts’ and things might get competitive with our Riff-Off. Singer or not, you are welcome to come and enjoy, with sounds on the night provided by DJ Joné.

A few frames from my first afternoon at FAM 🫂

I came for Vinyl 101 with @boombapclicke x @fam_l1.2s_l36.4e and left with a deep appreciation for what this space is quietly building in a corner of my neighbourhood. Places like this remind me how much i'm enjoying slowing down over good music and the simple act of being around people.

And now i can’t wait to call this home for Vol. VI of @flowstate.vol - a Friday drop-in space for music lovers and anyone wanting to ease into the weekend together - free rsvp in my bio 💛

Thankyou for all you’re doing @na_kiboko_je @noomasana @_kalundemuli

my fingers have been itching to make more things with my hands recently, so for the latest @flowstate.vol event i wanted to enhance the space with some colour and life and what better way to do it than with some floral arrangements 💐 watch till the end

producing an event can be stressful and expensive, but putting these together didn’t break the bank thanks to the coconut vases and it gave me an opportunity to get out of my head at the start of the day and into a playful flow with each arrangement. with each stem i was setting my intention for the space i wanted to welcome people into & creating something someone could go home with

thank you to the mzee who gave me the free empty coconut shells + thank you @sampaga.space for this inspo! i’ll definitely be doing this again

It’s cold in the city, but events are bringing the heat 🔥

The EventGuide Nairobi family is keeping warm with live music, inspiring presentations, social clubs, jam sessions, gallery dinners, festivals, long brunches, thought-provoking talks, and runs that make the chilly mornings worth it. Nairobi never hibernate, join us and have a great week ahead 💚
