Hey You, You need a break, time to slow down, get your feet on the earth, move your body, meet your breath and gather in the richness of community…

And I am pleased to share that we have created that opportunity just for you, because life is full on, this year has been mad and we all need to come home to ourselves, the land and each other.

Join me and my amazing friend @carlfaure as we fuse our studio spaces @folde.me & @flowstatehove in this new chapter of co-teaching & holding space together,

For those who don’t know, Carl and I have taught together for 16 years, teacher trainings and retreats all over the world and we cannot wait to come back together to hold this beautiful day retreat on the grounds of the epic @bordehillgarden

Expect a spacious day, with a 2 hour practice from me, wild walks, gentle breathwork and Rest practices, the most incredible food @oreka_sauna and time to connect, explore and be curious.

Nearest station is Haywards Heath; just a hop skip and a jump from both Brighton & London.
Saturday 14th November
10am - 5pm
£150 (inclusive of all food and sauna!)

It’s hard to believe that I have just 7 more Sunday Service’s left to share at our current @flowstatehove yoga home.
(It’s also hard to believe that this video is sped up x 2.5 😅 yes- I move s l o w 🌀

I’ve never been good at endings, or the very first moments of beginnings.

I come alive in the space inbetween - where there is a rhythm and a familiarity and a trust already unfolding.

And saying that, I also have to nudge myself to remember that there was once a time none of this existed.
I came to Brighton with no plan, grieving a community that I had been a part of co-creating for more than a decade, and I couldn’t have ever imagined what we would manage to create together in the last 4 years.

When I taught my last Sunday Service at Stretch, I didn’t believe that I would ever be able to create the vibe that we had there, but yet, here we are and we have done just that, in less than half the time.

So this ending is a beginning and it also holds the rhythm and familiarity of what we have already built - I promise to keep showing up , wherever our new home might be or however it looks, if you do to?

7 Sunday Services left this year at this beautiful home… the last one will be BIG and extended…

Join me for some or all of them? 🤍

our bodies will hold these memories of moving together for years to come 🥹

What an honour it is 🤍

RESET RITUAL ✨ THE DEEP EXHALE🌀

A little space to slow down. To soften. To breathe.

To come back to yourself. 💫

As the year begins to draw to a close, we re inviting you to step away from the noise, the rushing, the endless doing, and give yoursel something you might not even realise you need.
90 minutes dedicated entirely to YOU.

Join Sam and Oana for a dreamy evening of flowing, embodied yoga and deeply restorative Reiki meditation, thoughtfully woven together to help you release tension, soothe your nervous system and reconnect with yourself.

We’ll begin with 60 minutes of soft, intuitive movement guided by Sam, inviting you out of your busy mind and back into your body.
No pressure, no expectations, no need to move or feel a certain way. Just space to explore, breathe and move in a way that feels good for you.

From there, you’ll be gently guided into a beautiful Reiki meditation with Oana, allowing yourself to settle into stillness, rest deeply and simply receive.

This is your permission to stop holding it all together for a little while.

To let go of what you’ve been carrying.

To feel held, nourished and completely at ease.

To leave feeling a little lighter, a little softer, and a lot more like yourself.

THE DETAILS 💫
Saturday 28th November 5:00-6:30pm
Flow State, Hove

No experience needed. Come exactly as you are.

Spaces are intentionally limited to keep this experience intimate and personal.

If life feels rushed and squeezed, this is your chance to pause and breathe! Breathing Space with @ruth__barley is a breathwork workshop to find spaciousness and take up space.

We’ll start with gentle embodied movement and somatic practice to ease into full, spacious breathing. From there we’ll go on a journey with conscious connected breath, a powerful practice that melts bodily tension, moves and releases energy and can bring about deep clarity, insight and inspiration.

We’ll be working with the exploration of what we want to make space for, what we want to dream into being. There will be optional journalling prompts to help feel into this. In the space after the breathwork there will be time to chat, write and snack – or space just to be.

Friday 16th October
7.30 - 9.30pm

A body remembering how to move in one of the many ways it was designed to. Bliss. Also, science.

Developmental movement patterns: the same spiralling, rolling sequences we all moved through as babies before we ever stood upright. The single most profound awakening of my entire movement journey.

We like to think inner child work can happen in the mind. In the words. In the stories we tell and re-tell and tell again until we're exhausted.

But what happens when we stop limiting this dynamic to words?

I remember one of my college tutors, Stephen Braybook - rest in power - exposing me to this quiet revolution for the first time when I was studying my level 3 PT qual in 2017.

He blew my mind with this simple yet deep suggestion that triggering body memories by moving in the ways that we would have as babies could aid the journey of self enquiry and development, as well as unlocking keys to smarter movement.

I didn't entirely get it back then, but I wanted to.

It wasn't until I met and studied with @calliyoga (thank you, I love you and the work you do) that I really got to immerse myself in this approach.

And when it clicked, it changed everything about how I move, how I teach, and how I understand healing

A fundamental aspect of this is catching up with advances in our understanding of anatomy and physiology. A whole series of posts for another time.. but for now -

!! Fascia isn't just connective tissue !!

It's the living record of every pattern, every compensation, every held breath etc.

When we move embryologically from the centre outward, in spirals rather than straight lines, it's not just about stretching or strengthening in the conventional sense anymore. It is a great reorganising.

The blissed out state is not one of the yoga asanas that can be practiced enough times and eventually mastered.

There is no exact sequence to guarantee this feeling. It's just what happens when the nervous system stops bracing. I get same feeling as I do coming off a massage table when I am able to get lost in the practice like this.

The body knows. Sometimes we just have to give it to the floor..

Come slide with me every Friday at 7.30am @flowstatehove 🤍

With world mental health day coming up, we wanted to highlight that looking after our mental health doesn’t have to mean doing something big or super expensive…

It can be a walk, a chat with someone in the sauna, moving your body, sitting with other people, taking an hour away from your phone, finding somewhere you can breathe a little more deeply and feel a little more like yourself.

Brighton is full of places, spaces and people that can support our wellbeing in all sorts of ways.

So today, we’re celebrating some of the community spaces where you can pause, reconnect and find a little peace in the city.

You don’t have to wait until you’re struggling to care for your mental health. Small moments of connection, rest and support are so important 💛

WHERE DID WE MISS? Help us signpost below 🙏❤️

Celebrating these two amazing women @calliyoga @georgie.francesca in my new music video - it’s available to watch on YouTube now! Link in bio 💓
This part was filmed in my favourite yoga studio / second home @flowstatehove - a place which has reimagined my yoga practice (I’ve been doing yoga since I was 12, and these ladies really changed me recently). I’ve had so many tears and realisations on these mats, it’s been a safe space for so much healing.
Love you guys!
