Im injured. My Mammoth Trailfest 50k race is done. In one world, I am heart broken, I was supposed to be on the mountain with my friends, athletes, and partner. . . leading, guiding, learning, and enjoying. That’s the ego suffering and wanting what isn’t. The other world is filled with gratitude and pride. Three athletes training for different races and two different race distances, converging on the mountain trails together. Asking of it and giving to it. This is community. This is building. This is structure and challenging comfort in a way that exposes what is possible.
Committing to yourself and detaching from the ego and its suffering is the goal. Well done ladies. It’s hard to quantify how deeply impressive your dedication and willingness truly is. Your commitment to trust in the process we create and show up authentically is beyond inspiring! This is the essence of Shinecollaborative. Respect and gratitude! Many thanks and . . . Let’s build! @mammothtrailfest
