Thoughts to Things Idea: - Create a keepsake to remember our travels and inspire others of all ages and backgrounds to get out there and explore. - An App to track your travels around Aus and you could print when you finished (scrapped not heart felt enough) - Print a map onto PVC or PU canvas so it’s was durable and can be drawn on with a marker (scrapped, kind of tacky and not environmentally friendly) - Print on quality canvas using an archival printer (winner) (April 23) Action: - Told people we’re ’going’ to do something and listened to their feedback/ideas (May 23) - Got a full time job that we adored and put all of our earnings into this idea @bullarastation (Aug 23) - Produced a brief and pitched our idea to a reputable branding company that believed in our mission @fluid.group (Oct 23) - Sourced a printing company in Australia to keep the map Australian Made @leftbankartgroup and decided which canvas to use - Sourced a quality archival pen made in Japan (nothing of this quality is made in Aus) - Sourced a printed paper tube company over seas using a third party supplier in America, estimate was given and approved, paid deposit, tubes were printed, invoice came in 2x the worst case scenario on the estimate and decided to loose the deposit and pivot. Estimate was $6-$8 per tube shipped, invoice came in at $16 shipped. (Jan 24) - Found a cardboard tube company in Australia that made either white or brown/natural tubes which is now the current packaging. Not the most visually pleasing but serves a purpose and Australian Made. - Received printed samples and slightly changed the design (Feb 24) - Approved final samples and started production (May 24) - Received framed Lapmaps and started to create content and product photography to populate the website and kick start our launch (June 24) - Received Lapmaps and pens to finalise the product, we then packaged a potion ready for shipping - Finalised website and tested systems (July 24) Launch Day!! 27th July - Holy dooolly was this a great feeling!!! ‘Thought to Thing’ Keep reading in comments…. #australia #biglap #travelaustralia #vanlife #touringaustralia #westisbest

Bring back the good times with my mate @marinaoliphant_photographer :) FMCG work is one of the core staples of my focus as a food stylist. The more technical the better. I love making briefs work to a specific layout, bringing all the pieces together with all the talented people I get to “work” with! We know that it's now June but sneaking in one more #MoveMoreInMay post from Active Geelong board member Mike Beck: "I have tried hard to “Move More in May” another great Active Geelong initiative. Most mornings I either swim, ride or go to the gym and then walk in the evenings or afternoons. "I can’t always stick to my routine but having Harley keeps me honest. I had been resting on the couch and dragged myself outside for a walk with my daughter. It was great, I felt alive and reenergised, had a great chat and couldn’t stop smiling watching Harley having fun. Let’s keep moving and get active Geelong." #ActiveGeelong #MovementMovement

The stunning Tassie @whalesongshack - second home to artist @ingriddaniell and her graphic designer husband Cliff. They haven’t been able to visit for a while thanks to Covid, but this little shack on the edge of the ocean, with gulls wheeling and diving above it, will wait for them to get back sometime soon. Read their story by Bronwyn Phillips in @countrystylemag this month.
