What an incredible weekend! We opened our doors for our annual Print Expo & Fair 2026, a true showcase of collaboration and community effort. Thank you to everyone involved: vendors, workshop instructors, and volunteers from @gcmtmu and elsewhere whose efforts made the event special. Special thanks to George Walker, who was in his element at the #HotMetalRevival, Sean Cumming, who made sure all presses and equipment were in good shape, and to organizers Margot Cudmore, Joe Borges and Stu Hill for their invaluable support. As always, various demos and print experiences were the favourites with attendees of all ages.

Heartfelt gratitude to the community for their unwavering support, including @visitoakville Visit Oakville; @lighthousegrief The Lighthouse for Grieving Children & Families; @thebakersdevil Baker's Devil for their Snacks & Paperbacks fundraising theme; and @timhortons Tim Hortons for their delicious coffee and donuts.

Last but not least, thank you to visitors from the GTA and beyond who took the time to drop by and attend the event; your presence meant a great deal to us.

Through your generosity and participation in the day’s #HotMetalRevival and The Baker’s Devil’s #SnacksAndPaperbacks programs, we proudly raised for @lighthousegrief a sum of $2,308.90, plus a generous additional $450.00 donation from vendors, reflecting our community's strong support and shared success.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next Print Expo & Fair in September 2027 - stay tuned for more opportunities to connect and celebrate our community's creativity.

Phoebe Todd-Parish brings together printmaking and letterpress with skill and artistry. At her new @flycatcherpress studio/store in Toronto, she creates greeting cards, posters, stationery, and exquisite custom designs, and she also leads engaging hands-on workshops. Her linocut work eloquently captures Toronto's charm, celebrating its beloved diners, landmarks, and architectural character. Phoebe is also a founding artist of the Canadian Letterpress Alliance. Welcome back, Phoebe.

PRESS PLAY! On Tuesday @thebentway, we had another full house - this time, to learn about Letterpress with @flycatcherpress.

Participants printed and coloured a set of postcards throughout the evening, using a pair of antique presses from Phoebe’s studio. It was great to see all the different designs and Toronto references!

It was an amazingly analog evening, making something with our hands. Thank you, Phoebe!

At our latest Art Social, Toronto artist and printmaker Phoebe Todd-Parrish invited participants to slow down, ink up, and create their own letterpress postcards using antique platen presses, wood type, and metal type.

Thank you to Phoebe for guiding us through the art and history of letterpress, and to everyone who joined us for an evening of making, learning, and connection at The Bentway.
