A Girly Gaggle
My experience as a woman in paragliding has been mostly positive throughout the years and I never felt the need to join “women’s only” activities.

Then in 2010, I competed at the Women’s Open in Ager and I had so much fun that I didn’t want the week to end. I met wonderful women I still hold very dear. That event changed the way I saw this kind of events.

Last weekend, I joined a women’s only training organized by the CNF, the French federation’s commission to encourage women in the sport.

Once again, I found a relaxed atmosphere and a lovely group of pilots willing to learn from each other.

The game for the day was to try to fly a task in teams and help each other out.

Unfortunately, the weather was tricky and the high stability turned a cross country task into a patience task.

In the end, we couldn’t finish our task, but it fun to see so many pony tails sticking out of helmets. It was a nice experience and I’m looking forward to next time.

Thank you Sandra for the invitation and see you girls in the sky!
