Some wines are made for special occasions, and sharing the 2013 Solaia with @flyingsomm for his birthday was certainly one of them.
Antinori’s Solaia is one of Tuscany’s iconic Super Tuscans and a signature flagship of the estate, born from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese from its namesake vineyard at Tenuta Tignanello. At 13 years old, the 2013 is now entering a compelling stage of maturity, with ripe red and black fruit giving way to balsamic notes, liquorice, mint, spice, smoked game, underbrush, and chocolate, while its once-firm tannins has softened into a more polished, integrated texture.
A memorable bottle for a memorable birthday - and even better shared with a good friend.

B.A.A.D. EP.3 lands Thursday, September 10. Chef Roberto Marotta and the Bar Ardo team bring the Sicilian-inspired food, handcrafted cocktails and outstanding wine program. I’ll bring another fresh selection of Jazz, Funk, Soul and timeless grooves. You bring yourself and a few good people.

B.A.A.D. isn’t about turning dinner into a nightclub. It’s about creating the right soundtrack for a room where people can eat beautifully, drink well, talk, laugh, connect and get lost in the music.

Nothing beats celebrating the incredible wines of South Africa aboard a private yacht in Toronto Harbour. 🛥️✨🇿🇦

Sailing into sunset with breathtaking city views, we enjoyed an exclusive tasting by Wines of South Africa (@wosa_ca), featuring a beautifully curated selection perfectly paired with sushi from my friends at KIBO (@kibosushi_official ) 🍷🍣

An unforgettable evening surrounded by friends, fellow wine lovers, and great conversation on the stunning Bluewater I. Love that it was golden hour making everyone looking our best 🥂

There’s something about wine that makes you feel like you’ve travelled somewhere, even when you haven’t left the city✈️🌍🥂

A couple nights ago, I was lucky enough to find myself on a yacht cruising around Toronto Harbour🛥️ and tasting my way through South Africa🇿🇦 From the cool-climate influence of the Cape to wines shaped by some of the country’s oldest vineyards.

✨It was a pretty perfect reminder that wine is more than what’s in your glass. It’s a sense of place, a story, and sometimes, a little escape✨

A meal worth uncorking with @Joao_Portugal_Ramos 🍾🍷

Started with sparkling rosé, refreshing whites, then moved into beautifully layered reds, and ended with a perfectly grilled black angus strip-loin steak @Adega_Restaurante_Toronto. Every course complemented each pour, making it more than just a meal, it was an experience!
