🎄Ally Carter Author Event🎄 This week I was able to celebrate the release of @theallycarter new release, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder. Thanks for hosting such a great event @squeetus @folkloremidway and @loveboundlibrary It felt a little funny to be in the Christmas spirit in the middle of October but it made me excited for the upcoming holiday season. Are there other Christmas books on your radar releasing soon or are we too focused on spooky season?

Thrilled to be in conversation with one of MY favorite authors, Elizabeth Davis. Be prepared for me to dramatically describe the time her hero carried her heroine down five flights of stairs because it lives rent-free in my brain. SACRAMENTO! This will be my first ever event with you (I think) and I’m so excited! I’ll be chatting with @authortarahdewitt, and I really hope you’ll come see us!

Stitched, a humorous tale about quilters. Eli McCann, you are a delight! I’m so excited to read your book and laugh even more. Thank you Kenzy for motivating me to put school aside for a night and head to a gathering at Folklore book shop in Midway. #stitched @eliwmccann @folkloremidway #quilter #read @sewingcorals

✨️✨️✨️ Independent Bookstore Spotlight ✨️✨️✨️ @folkloremidway is a local shop in Midway, UT. Super cute and tucked into a little shopping center we stopped in on our way to The Crater at Homestead. This store features all genres, a large children's section, and other bookish merch. Staff was friendly and helpful. I picked up 3 books I didn't need but that's the fun of it! If you find yourself in the area, make sure you check it out! #shoplocal #indiebookstorespotlight #indiebookstores #utahbookstore #midwayutah

Tuesday is usually league day. But we had a rain at the courts, so I decided to have a cozy day instead. Here are a few places I explored in my ‘cozy quest’ Beck to regularly scheduled tennis tomorrow!

Last week, Utah removed seven books from school libraries. Yesterday, the American Library Association launched Banned Books Week 2026 with this theme: "Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read." Join me Wed., Oct. 7, 5 - 6:30 p.m. at Park City Library for a discussion about the women who battled censorship, and hear from the ACLU's Tom Ford about where we are today. Panel discussion follows. No ticket required!
