Such is life in Costa Rica! 3 years ago, my introduction to this wonderful place began. What started with a visit to my sister and friends from college, unknowingly grew into laying roots and building my life here. Looking back at the obstacles I faced while trying to up and move to an entirely new country- doubt, frustration, confusion, and the many times I booked a flight back to the states to return to my “comfort”, I can’t help but see how all of those challenges helped lay the foundation for the life I built for myself now. Over time, and definitely not all at once- I am filled with overwhelming gratitude. Learning how to navigate a new culture, a new language, new environment, and new way of figuring out daily life tasks- sparked my ability to see life in color again. To change your environment, shift your perspective, and force yourself to be uncomfortable for awhile has given me the greatest peace and personal growth I’ve ever known. To the community that surrounds me- thank you. Meeting likeminded people from different corners of the world, all with the same desire to live fully. Creating wholesome friendships and navigating life together, you have all made this change effortlessly beautiful for me. Landing my dream job, meeting the purest love I’ve ever known, and forcing myself into new hobbies, passions, projects, and creative outlets. I can’t thank this country and these people enough. Such is life!

Hard at work on a Friday morning! The peace of doing yoga on the water is long lasting, especially when you throw in such clear waters, luscious green trees, and volcanoes in the background. Not to mention the turtles and dolphins swimming by. I couldn’t ask for more. Blessed is an understatement. Thanks to my boat captain @mareaaltacostarica (HIGHLY recommend his tours!) and my models @follow.fija @kateelizabethhhh you all ROCK!!!!
