Summer Music Reminisce No. 1 - Shall Not Fade Festival

Somehow I only managed to get to one festival this year (which is very unusual for me)… but did manage to sneak one in right at the end of the summer… and what nice one it was. @shallnotfadefestival - a group of lovely friends, a beautiful setting, a community spirit and a small but perfect crowd totally up for the music. I guess we shouldn’t expect anything less from the @shallnotfade label.

Stand out sets for me (from what I managed to catch) were an incredible live set from @1_800girls, DJ sets from Noire, @denhamaudio, @jaspertygner, @selectedbydjango, @kiligsounds b2b @thirdsonmusic, two stonking sets from @jeremysylvesteruk… but the stand out DJ set for me was a 4 hour set on the @mr_whompy stage from @laurenceguymusic - an out and out house masterclass; I’ve not heard a full house set in a while… he played so many classic tracks I’ve not heard in many years over a club system, hats off. Very sad to miss @swoose_’s set… was running on fumes and had to go to bed (loser I know).

Some really good talks too that were really interesting from @jeremysylvesteruk, @laurenceguymusic and @shallnotfade head honcho Keiran… some really deep insights into their processes, workflow and culture.

And most importantly my feathered top hat, which has seen MANY a festival over the years was featured in the lovely photo above… thanks @glass.eye.pics for sharing and for the lovely group pic too.

More summer music reminiscing to come…

Injured ≠ off
If I can speak, I can teach, and these girls' commitment every morning 7am has been the perfect motivation to get out of bed through this depressing week.
