Safe in the harbor was never the dream. 🌷🚜

Some of next spring’s best moments are being planted after dark. 🚜🌙🌷

This week’s Behind Bloom: bulbs by the crate, boots in the dirt, and a sunset that made us pause before switching on the tractor lights.

Farmer Andrew and the crew have been making the most of this beautiful planting weather. The days are getting shorter, but there’s still plenty of spring to put in the ground.

Someday these rows will be somebody’s first tulip bouquet, a family photo, or an afternoon with a favorite person.

Tonight, they’re bulbs, soil, and a hardworking crew. That’s where the good stuff starts. 💛

🍁 FALL FOR SLU 🍁

Did you know there’s a pumpkin patch and corn maze in @southlakeunion? If you missed it today, you can catch Fall for SLU on Sunday from 11am-3pm. It’s family friendly and tons of fun!

I also stopped by @slufarmersmarket to eat lunch and grab some produce for my weekly meal prep.

This market is open every Saturday until the week before Thanksgiving this year and will transition into an all-year round market next season. Mark your calendars to pick up all your Thanksgiving dinner ingredients. While there, you can explore the culturally diverse food offerings and unique craft items right in the heart of South Lake Union.

🫛🌶️That’s a wrap on Thursday markets for the year!🌶️🫛

The sun was shining for our last one and it was such a great send off. So many costumes swapped, more varieties of peppers than we could count, beautiful jewel toned flowers, and the last of the pluots, pears and apples. Plus all kinds of squash and edible flowers to round things out!

Sad the season is over? You still have 2 more chances to shop at BFM at our Fall Harvest Markets on October 31st and November 21st from 10a-3p. See you there!

First thing Sunday morning was a visit to the West Seattle Farmers Market and a stop at Top Pot Donuts for a large drip coffee and a chocolate covered Bavarian cream filled donut 😋☕️.

Our purchases at the farmers market included: fresh foraged chanterelles from @barter.company, sheep cheese from @glendaleshepherd, peaches, Italian plums, eggplants, spicy pork hum bao, hazelnut filled brioche, German pretzels & pecan rolls.
