CARDIFF LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT:

FORCE MAJEURE
@forcemajeureaudio
Force Majeure is the experimental alias of Cardiff-based Nick Ronin, a veteran of the UK DIY rave scene. A long-time producer and performer across aliases including Killdren, Villain and Ronin, Nick’s Force Majeure project dives into the abstract side of club sonics: exploratory and unpredictable. His last release Unexploded Device (on Grey Meta) is a volatile fusion of off-kilter techno, granular field recordings, and hardware-driven intensity. Here he will present a version of his audiovisual show that also incorporates more downtempo works from his two albums.

Event on Sat 26 September in Cardiff @thecanopicardiff – close to the city centre and central train station. Cheaper advance tickets are on sale, though you can pay cash/card on the door too.

Here’s an update about my musical projects and some nerdery around an immersive audio liveset I’m doing in Belfast for the @sonorities festival on Friday.

The ravey projects are a bit dormant to be honest, but hopefully I will find motivation to make a few bangers amidst all the experimental and folk-electronica of @forcemajeureaudio and @chwalaw_music!

I’ve got new music coming out for both of those projects soon. Stay tuned for news, where I will likely have to wheel out my speckled mug once again for the algos.

Force Majeure :: Unexploded Device EP (Grey Meta)

#igloomag #reviews @___wonks

"On Unexploded Device, Force Majeure unleashes four relentless blasts of nu-beat abrasion—industrial, high-impact cuts that collide distortion, breakbeat pressure, and militant rhythm into a fierce, uncompromising statement of mechanized intensity."
