All this in a base-model Subaru.

It’s frustrating seeing people spend thousands of dollars modifying already expensive 4Runners and other trucks all to hesitate when it comes time to actually use them. Meanwhile, a stock Subaru is out here getting after it.

If you’re going to buy an off-road rig, use it to its full extent. Know your vehicle, understand its limits, and don’t be afraid to put it to work. What’s the point of building a rig for adventure if you’re too reluctant to take it on one? You don’t need thousands of dollars in modifications to get out there and explore. Sometimes, you just need to send it with what you’ve got.

Here are some photos from one of those days you’ll never forget. I’m truly blessed to be able to not only create fishing content for a living, but to actually work on the water daily. They’re long days…but I honestly could not think of a better way to make a living. Twelve year old me saw something and didn’t really care what anyone had to say about it, and to him, I must say thank you. In another month and half, I’ll be closing on my 3rd year of my fishing guide service, and year 17 of making fishing content. I’ve met so many great people, caught so many fish in so many locations throughout the country, and honestly, I’ve gained so many followers. Thank you all for following this journey for 17 years, and thank you to all who have booked a guided trip with me through the last couple of seasons. Here’s to finishing 2026 strong and with big fish! 🍻🤙🏼
