Also, HUGE thanks to @forkinthekitchen

Meet the People Behind the Mission! Did you know that Read With Me MN is entirely volunteer-led?

Every person behind Read With Me MN volunteers their time, talents, and resources to help advance our mission. Together, this dedicated team works behind the scenes to donate books, build community partnerships, organize events, support local authors and illustrators, and create more opportunities for children to see themselves reflected in the stories they read.

Thanks to @brianlelewis, we’re excited to share the faces behind the work. We hope you’ll take a moment to get to know the volunteers who are helping bring this mission to life. Head to our website for full bio’s!

The best spring muffins ever! With carrot cake and banana bread flavors, add these babies into your breakfast line up!

Thank you @forkinthekitchen for inspiring the recipe!

-Banana Carrot Cake Muffins: 🍌🥕 Preheat oven to 425; spray 12 muffin liners and place in muffin pan. In bowl combine: 1 and 1/4 cup flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4tsp salt, 1tsp cinnamon, just under 1/2 cup white sugar, and 1/4 cup brown sugar. In another bowl combine: 2 large mashed bananas, a drizzle of maple syrup, 1.5 cups shredded carrots, 1 cup raisins (soaked in warm water for 10min and then drained), 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 eggs, splash of vanilla extract. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Scoop batter into muffin tins until 3/4 full, then top each muffin with crushed walnuts. Bake 5min at 425, then lower oven tempi to 350 and bake another 10-12min (until toothpick comes out clean).

Enjoy, friends!! 💓

I love recipes that call for ingredients I already have in the kitchen! I followed @forkinthekitchen ‘s recipe to make 2 batches. For both batches, I added 1/4 tsp ginger powder and opted out of the pecan topping. For 1 batch, I used half the amount of granulated sugar and they still turned out great!

Thank you food bloggers for your yummy recipes!! :) #baking #dessert #kitchen

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your business is step away from it for a moment.

This spring, a small group of food bloggers will gather in a beautiful St Paul mansion for a few days of space, connection, incredible food, and honest conversations about where we are and where we want to go next.

No hustle.
No pretending.
Just clarity, perspective, and people who truly get it.

We have five spots remaining for the March Eat Blog Talk Retreat.

If this feels like a quiet yes, trust it.

There are so many reasons I love Friendsgiving. Mostly, it’s a chance to gather with some of my favorite people — my chosen family. We share stories from the year, indulge in each other’s favorite holiday dishes, and laugh until our cheeks hurt.

Another reason? It gives me the perfect excuse to actually get dressed up! Since I work from home most days, I’m usually living in cozy casuals — desperately trying not to make pajamas my daily uniform. So swapping comfort for a little festive style feels extra fun.

The food is amazing, the wine flows freely, and there’s this kind of easygoing magic in the air that makes everything feel extra festive — it’s the kind of celebration that makes you grateful for the people in your life. Text reads "Friendsgiving" in red

VEGE RISOTTO: I needed a base for balsamic chicken and wanted it to include the starch and veggies, so I threw in some frozen chopped broccoli, frozen spinach, chopped onions, chopped mushrooms, matchstick carrots, and chicken bullion with 3c dry rice and 4c water. Instant pot on “rice” setting for 15min and voila. My people loved it! Who knew?? Will definitely make again, especially with balsamic chicken. #its5oclockmom #its5oclockmomrisotto #easyrisotto #vegerisotto

That’s a wrap on another amazing work conference with @weareraptive! It was so good to be back in Chicago — such a vibrant city with unreal food — and to spend time with so many inspiring women. Feeling grateful and energized for what’s ahead. ❤️

Something truly magical happens when a group of passionate creators gather under one roof.

Ideas flow. Friendships form. And suddenly, business feels lighter, easier, fun again. 💕

Sunshine, laughter, deep conversations, a little masterminding (okay, a lot), and foodie heaven thanks to our incredible chef… Chef Ryan @cookeryamendola

From root & courgette soup to sous-vide NY strip and the dreamiest corn husk meringue dessert.. every moment of this retreat fed our minds, hearts, and appetites.

We dove into YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, time management and workflows.. but the real magic was the connection.

By the end, we felt like lifelong friends. 🫶

The next Eat Blog Talk Retreat is already on the calendar (March 5–8, 2026) and it’s going to be incredible.

Come join the mastermind energy, the creative spark, and the community that gets it. ❤️
