This #inprogress Lake View single-family home contains a variety of details in the facade. Featuring @yankeehillbrickmfgco Medium Red Velour modulars in a #Flemishbond, custom red mortar, and a red cast stone entrance. To keep the hit-and-miss wall and protruding details pristine, solid pavers were specified to avoid exposing core holes.
It’s all in the details. What’s your take on #brickwork patterns?

This week, we obtained a highly anticipated building permit for a single-family home in Roscoe Village. Originally envisioning a traditional gabled form, the design evolved into a restrained, flat-roofed masonry residence that draws from Chicago’s culture of brick building without imitating it. A light-toned modern brick façade and carefully proportioned openings give the house a quiet confidence, while a complementary perforated brick weave wall provides privacy and softens the street edge.

Quick glimpse of our latest photographed project.
A unique single family home, split level style, with a two story coach house on a tiny lot with no alley.

A joy of a family for clients.

We completed this when we were lead architect at another firm.
