Fraser Island, you absolutely showed off 🏝️

Sand tracks, crystal clear creeks and a whole lot of “is this real life?” moments. The best surprise of the trip? Bumping into @always_touring_ out there. Of all the places on the island, we ended up at the same spot. Legends. 🤙

Six months on the road, thousands of kilometres, and some seriously rough tracks… the 80 has copped a fair bit of punishment! 🇦🇺

When you're travelling remote Australia, your suspension needs to handle everything from endless corrugations to technical 4WD tracks and long highway stretches.

That's why I've got the @formula.4x4 F4R shocks under the 80, with remote reservoirs, adjustable damping and a 5-year unlimited-kilometre warranty.

Safe to say, they've well and truly earned their place under the 80! 🤙

We let Tanisha pick the best lift kit for the BT-50 and D-Max. Reckon you can guess what she chose?

And this is why 👇🏼

Now, why are these three actually worth spending your money on?

1. Suspension
If you own a Jimny, you might be familiar with the death wobbles… or driving around every single bump in the road. A good suspension upgrade can make a huge difference both on AND off-road. You get more comfort, better handling and improved off-road performance, all why making your car more COMFORTABLE to drive.
I went with the @formula.4x4 suspension, installed at @fulcrumsuspensions , because it’s legal and designed for Australian roads.

2. Roof rack platform
Extra storage on a Jimny is NEEDED.

Especially when you can put all the dirty, wet or bulky stuff on top of the car instead of trying to squeeze it inside 😂

I went with the @rhinorackau platform. Mine is technically for the 3-door, but we made it work on the XL, and it’s been so handy for camping and adventures.

3. Stainless steel snorkel
A snorkel is one of those mods that’s not just about looking cool.

It raises the air intake higher, which can be really useful when you’re doing water crossings and helps reduce the risk of your engine taking in water.

I had mine installed at @phatbars and aside from the fact that it sounds SO good, it’s another Brisbane-designed and built addition, and the team there is unreal to work with.

These are probably the most expensive mods I’ve done to my Jimny, but they’re also the ones I’ve noticed the biggest difference from.

And not every mod needs to cost you a fortune 👀

Want a breakdown of the Jimny mods you can do without digging deep?

Shauno said it best and we couldn't agree more. This is the kind of warranty that actually backs you up no matter where the tracks take you.

Running a bull bar, canopy, tools and a tow ball load? There's a real chance your Hilux is already over its legal GVM limit and you'd never know. The Formula 4x4 GVM upgrade is built exclusively for the Hilux: certified, all-inclusive, and engineered to raise your legal payload so your rig carries what it was always built to.

Authorised Fulcrum workshops only, GVM assessment, free wheel alignment and full certification sorted from start to finish. Book it in via Fulcrum Suspensions website!
