Yes. Answering a cold email from a young writer asking to volunteer at @tables.of.contents and seeing that person grow into a supporter, collaborator, baker, reluctant but unavoidable social media star, publisher (@cake_zine!), pastry chef + coworker + catalyst at @eggrestaurant, and most of all a lifelong friend definitely brings me the kind of joy that comes from small acts of kismet and kindness long-fermenting into the moments and relationships that make life so satisfying.

So proud of Tanya (@will.this.make.me.happy on this digital plane) for writing and publishing a truly excellent narrative cookbook full of her singular voice and fresh, whimsical, and totally dialed-in recipes. Its existence is an achievement to delight in, laugh with, listen to, and cook from.

Even more so: its role as a marker in time of Tanya's hunger to feel, write, bake, love, and live with increasing curiosity for and proximity to her appetites, through whatever form is required, is a generous reminder to all of us.

Happiest pub day to Tanya, and to @forsythharmon, whose illustrations bring tenderness and lift to each scene they accompany. Hope you all let this book make you a little bit happier!
