ADOPT BELLA 💕 Sweet three year old Bella is recovering from surgery (she had her tail amputated to fix the corkscrew which was digging into her body 😔, and she also got spayed). Thank you @amcny 🙏🏼 Please see the last slide to see what her foster parents think her ideal home would look like. We are going to dog test her again in the next couple of weeks now that she’s spayed and no longer in heat, once she’s recovered enough from her surgery to safely do so. Bella has been thriving in her foster home and would make a wonderful addition to a lucky family. While she doesn’t have separation anxiety, we would love to see her with a family whose parent works from home a couple times a week or who can bring her to the office. We took Bella from previous owners who worked a ton and would leave her for extremely long hours. She’s really loving all the attention her Fosters are giving her and we just want to make this little potato as happy as can be. Please share!!

⚠️ Foster needed (or foster to adopt, even better!) ❤️ *No negative comments please* We are taking in this adorable 3 year old girl named Bella this week (her heartbroken owner has to surrender her due to personal reasons, having nothing to do with the dog). Bella is supposedly great with kids, and indifferent to dogs. Her previous owner worked very long hours and so Bella is used to going on wee wee pads, but she also goes outside as well. As with all of our dogs, we prefer not to bounce them around between different foster homes, and so we are ideally looking for a foster to adopt home (or longterm foster home). This sweet girl has only known one home her entire life, and so minimizing her moves (while also finding a loving forever home) is our priority. Please share!

Poor Jimmy 💔
This weekend Jimmy traveled 10 hours round
trip to go to what we thought would be his forever home. Unfortunately, the resident dog (who was previously great with Jimmy on their last meeting) was not happy having Jimmy in his space. While we know the adjustment takes time, the adopters didn’t feel comfortable and we completely agree. The potential adopters have young kids in the house and the resident dog was extremely (and understandably) protective over them. We spent hours trying to make the situation better but the resident dog was not comfortable and we didn’t want to put either dog in a situation to fail. This is no one’s fault of course, but a HUGE bummer, as we had been planning this for the last 6 weeks and really thought Jimmy had found his forever home 😔

We pulled Jimmy from @acctphilly last May, and we genuinely cannot understand why he’s still available. He is an
AMAZING dog (the family is absolutely devastated 😭) and he will make an incredible addition to any family. Please please PLEASE share and help us find his happily ever after 🙏🏼

Jimmy is:
-dog friendly
-kid friendly
-house trained
-crate trained
-extremely smart
-insanely handsome (everyone who meets him can’t believe how much cuter he is in person!)

💛 Urgent: Long-Term Foster Needed for Oriole 💛

About a month ago, we were contacted about a situation so heartbreaking it left us speechless. A sweet boy named Oriole came from a life of unimaginable abuse. Due to safety concerns surrounding his rescue and the difficulty of obtaining details about the individual responsible, we’re unable to pursue legal action. Our focus now is where it belongs: making sure Oriole is safe, loved, and cared for for the rest of his life.

What we do know is devastating. Oriole was reportedly beaten 4–5 times a day for at least five months in his previous home. His most recent injury left him with a femoral fracture, an injury his veterinarian says could only have been caused by force comparable to that of a moving car. This has left Oriole in extreme pain, and he will soon be undergoing surgery to repair the damage.

Oriole also lived confined to a roughly 5-foot area on a linoleum floor, rarely went outside, and was left to sit in his own feces and urine. Despite everything he has endured, Oriole’s spirit is still very much alive.

Thanks to an incredible temporary foster, we’ve been able to learn so much about who Oriole really is—and what he needs to heal. We are now in urgent need of a long-term foster who can not only help nurse him through recovery, but also guide him as he learns how to be the well-adjusted, happy boy he’s always deserved to be.

✨ About Oriole ✨
• Approximately 9 months old
• Incredibly affectionate and goofy
• Has done great with dogs and cats
• Crate trained and does well when left alone
• Can be anxious around new people and will need slow, patient introductions
• Will thrive with plenty of enrichment, structure, and love

Oriole has survived things no dog ever should—but he hasn’t given up on people. If you have a calm home, a big heart, and the patience to help a survivor heal, you could change Oriole’s life forever.

Please reach out if you’re able to foster or want to learn more, and please share.

UPDATE- Oriole recovered beautifully from his surgery @amcny 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Snowy lost his battle today. I was trying to figure out a way to adopt him but he endured too much. His little body couldn’t take it any more. I’m so sorry, sweet boy. My heart is so broken. This rainbow appeared today and i didn’t know what it was saying. I hope you somehow knew how much I loved you. Wait with LuLu at the rainbow bridge and we can spend forever together.
Please consider donating to @amaanimalrescue so they can keep saving innocent lives. ❤️❤️@waffles_and_hotmess_fosters thank you ❤️🙏
