If every corner of the universe came pre-explained, where exactly would the fun be? At the 2026 Jasper Dark Sky Festival, @danriskin is making the case for curiosity.

Dan Riskin is a CTV science and technology specialist and biologist and in Jasper he'll be giving two different talks: Thriving in the Age of Artemis on October 23 and The Bat Signal: Popular Science with Dan Riskin, a conversation with @nikilynnwilson on October 24.

Had the best time today at the Jasper Library reading Mia and the Martians as part of the Jasper Dark Sky Festival! The kiddos had great questions about Mars and I had so much fun designing rovers with them afterwards.

This project is truly one of my favorite things I’ve ever done 🥰

@nikilynnwilson caught up with some of our Dark Sky Festival speakers to find out the most fun things they’ve done in the dark! 🌌

From watching bats to witnessing meteor showers and stargazing with friends, the night sky is full of a little extra magic.

What’s your favourite memory of an adventure under the stars? 🌠

We hope you enjoyed this year's Downtown Farmers' Market as much as we did. 😊

📅Every Saturday from mid-May to mid-October, 104 St and Jasper Ave was graced with the presence of amazing vendors selling fresh produce 🥑, handmade goods, delicious drinks, beautiful flowers 🌻 & more.

There was also a steady line-up of great performers and musicians 🎶 who kept visitors, vendors & volunteers entertained.

Last but not least, we must acknowledge the adorable dogs who visited 104 St during market hours, and we hope to see you again next year. 🐶

Thank you vendors, volunteers, EDBA staff and @foundryevents for your hard work and dedication to make this year's market a success.

While you wait for next year's Downtown Farmers' Market, join in the upcoming fun on 104 Street for Winterval:

Howdy folks, here’s a walk through of our autumn crops in the second greenhouse. We aim to get three plantings yearly - one in the spring, summer and fall. In this greenhouse we planted, rainbow swiss chard, four different kales, spinach, broccolini, arugula, tatsoi, easter egg radishes, loose leaf lettuce, green onions, celery and cherry tomatoes.
🍂
You can find our chemical free and soil grown veggies every weekend at Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market! Located in row 4 by the south doors. *CLOSED THANKSGIVING SUNDAY*
🍂
It’s the final Downtown Edmonton market this Thanksgiving Saturday, please come on down to support our little family market garden. It’s been a pleasure serving you there the past two years.
🍂
Leave a comment and drop a like if you would like to see what’s planted in our other two greenhouses!!

A little western spirit right in our backyard! 🥞🤠

We spent this morning at the CFR Pancake Breakfast in ICE District to kick off Canadian Finals Rodeo week!

So fun catching up with clients, familiar faces, and our friends from @goodspacebymercer and @foundry.events !

We even got interviewed by CTV, so you might catch us on the news tonight! 👀

Love seeing so many people coming downtown for events like this. Have fun at CFR, Edmonton! 🤠

First time experience at the Downtown Farmers’ Market!

We’re so glad we got the chance to sell, meet new customers, and connect with other vendors along the way. Rain or shine, Nami’s crew was there! 😆

We learned so much during our 6 weeks at this market. It was so nice seeing people try, support, and appreciate our goodies.

6 weeks went by so fast, and we’re really thankful for the experience and everyone who supported Nami.

Thank you so much.

Connect with us on Facebook, Instagram, or give us a call for orders and inquiries.
