With less than ✨2 months left✨before our annual SOLD OUT Yoga at the Big House, we want to take a moment to honor why this event came to be and why we are so grateful to the community for banding behind it.

Citizen Yoga was created with the mission improve mental health and prevent suicide through personal growth and transformation. This mission is at the core of every action we’ve taken since we opened our doors in 2013. Yoga at the Big House is an annual celebration of that mission where we bring together over 1,000 community members to normalize conversations about mental health and suicide, and to speak openly with those most affected. If you want to dedicate your practice to someone who lost their life to suicide, see our link in bio!

Each year, this event evolves to support mental health in the ways our community needs it most. In 2024, we are centering the belief that mental health begins at the roots. Together, we will fundraise for three local organizations - Birth Detroit, Brilliant Detroit, and The Fourth Tri Foundation -that work to water the roots of mental health across family structures and throughout the lifespan in profound and impactful ways.

While the event is sold out, you can still join the waitlist and we still have limited sponsorship opportunities available to support this amazing cause and reach 1000+ local participants.

I will have a 6 year old this month, YES SIX. And I am just getting relieved from issues from my pregnancy. Last year 2 weeks before Claire’s 5th birthday I graduated from pelvic floor therapy.

I was happy to join other mommies @fourthtrisanctuary for “Go With the Flow” a day of exercise and education from one of my favorite educators Dr. K @pelvicniore and her girl Pelvita 🤣🤣

Luckily companies like @hellohazel_ create luxe innovative feminine care with their sleek disposable High & Dry briefs that actually feel like underwear keep you dry and protected. If you don’t deal with incontinence, they also act as the perfect menstrual brief for that time of the month.
