IDS Vancouver 2026 Recap:

We had such a great time attending the Interior Design Show Vancouver 2026, where we had the opportunity to meet and connect with local interior designers, explore new design ideas, and attend some inspiring seminars.

Two sessions that really stood out to us were “The Dream Makers: Why Homeowners Hire Designers” and “Restoration Over Rebuild: Preserving Design, Reducing Impact on the West Coast.”

Our biggest takeaway? Great renovations aren’t just about making a space look beautiful - they’re about thoughtful design, preserving what matters, and creating a home that truly works for the people who live in it.

We’re excited to bring these ideas, conversations, and inspiration into the work we do at Golden Vista Construction.

Follow along as we share more design inspiration, renovation ideas, and behind-the-scenes from our projects

We asked the women of the Creators Society:
What is something you’re no longer doing?

And their answers are such a good reminder that growth isn’t always about doing more.

Sometimes it looks like releasing the habits, expectations, beliefs and ways of working that no longer fit the woman, or business, you’re becoming.

The Creators Society is a community for growth-minded women building businesses, brands and meaningful work.

We support one another through honest conversations, shared opportunities, accountability, collaboration and the kind of connections that help you keep moving forward.

Because building a business is easier, and so much more fun, when you don’t have to figure everything out alone.

We’re currently welcoming new members. If you’re looking for a place to be seen, supported and encouraged to grow into more, we’d love to meet you.

Comment SOCIETY and we’ll send you the details. 🌿

The second of our two backyard summer Leaders Lounge meet-ups, and it felt like a dream.

Women building businesses, connecting, laughing, swapping recipes… while kids ran around, played and made new friends.

Not every woman in YVR Creatives is a mother. But for those who are, there was something really beautiful about creating space for our work and our kids to exist together.

We discovered our unique strengths, talked about what surprised us and explored how we can lean into them as we head into fall.

Good women. Big ideas. Kids underfoot and creating a life and community where all parts of us are welcome- that's the best kind of growth. 💕

Our next Leaders Lounge is Sept 16th; save the date.

Our earth medicine day retreat didn't turn out the way we had envisioned and poured into for months, and yet it was exactly as it was meant to and so magical in its own way.

Heather and I believe it turned out exactly the way it was meant to be.

Have you ever trusted a pivot, and it turned out magical in its own beautiful way?

@maureenrobinson invited us for a couple of hours and still shared so much wisdom, stories, and plant clippings and earth medicine. Elderberries, mugwort, lemon balm, wormwood, recipes and so many goodies from her little home apothecary (homemade tallow, bee propolis, medicinal honey, shea balms, tinctures and so much more goodness).

We left with hearts, minds, and arms FULL... and some new sweet soul connections.

Hopefully, you'll join us next summer 🌿🌞

First time building a terrarium! Thanks for having us @liz.kecki_dae @sherwinwilliams @ploutosflooring @andersontuftex. I love talking sustainability and being around plants, so I’d say it was the perfect combo! 🌱

What a wonderful evening at Ploutos Flooring in Vancouver!

Such a fun night connecting with fellow designers, catching up, sharing ideas and even creating our own terrariums. 🌿

A big thank you to Ploutos Flooring for hosting such a fantastic evening, along with Oasis Studio, Anderson Tuftex and Sherwin-Williams.

I realized I made a mistake yesterday…

We’re less than a week away from the YVR Creatives Summer Social, and I said I was inviting women in business from across Greater Vancouver.

But that’s not actually true.

YVR Creatives isn’t for every woman in business.

It’s for the woman who…

✨ Believes success doesn’t have to come at the expense of her health, relationships, or joy.

✨ Is building a meaningful, heart-led business that supports the life she wants to live.

✨ Chooses collaboration over competition and has an abundant mindset.

✨ Has reached the point where she’s thinking, If not now, when?

✨ Knows that investing in herself changes what’s possible.

✨ Loves beautiful experiences just as much as meaningful conversations.

✨ Is looking for genuine connection with women who cheer each other on.

If you’re reading this and quietly nodding along…

I have a feeling you’ll feel right at home.

📅 July 23rd

Today was a dream over 10 years in the making. 🌱

Hosting 20 passionate women as we shared our businesses, celebrated our wins, worked through the sticky points holding us back, so we can map out the second half of 2026 with clarity and intention.

All while the kids played, we enjoyed a table full of delicious food, and spent the morning doing what ambitious women do best: connecting, dreaming bigger, and helping one another move forward.

The magic of Leaders Lounge has never been the agenda.

It’s the women.

The ones who ask the questions that shift your perspective.

The ones who celebrate your wins as if they were their own.

The ones who remind you what’s possible when you’ve forgotten.

That’s why I believe community isn’t a luxury. It’s part of the strategy.

Our next Leaders Lounge is on August 19th, and we’ll be gathering in this same dreamy outdoor setting for another family-friendly morning of meaningful conversations, fresh perspective, and genuine connection.

Creators Society members always get first dibs on registration. If there are any spaces remaining, we’ll open them to the public on August 4th.

If you’ve been craving a community that challenges you, champions you, and celebrates you, comment SOCIETY below and I’ll send you the details. 🤍
