Source & Reflection by Lori Fox on display at Blackrock Castle from October 10th. In this body of work Fox merges highly structured compositions with instinctive free form gestures, to examine the dualities of light and shadow, source and reflection, sun and moon. Her work investigates the limits of human perception and the eyes ability to interpret form within constraint fields of light, revealing how vision itself can become just an illusion. @foxlor

Early trauma taught me to be a fierce advocate for others. To keep getting up when knocked down. It wasn't about me, my feelings or my needs. It was about everybody else. I have learned you can do both: advocate for others AND yourself. Joy can be a part of life as well. I have seen so many of you...be resilent. I am so proud and happy for you and what you have achieved. Please feel free to make someone's day and "give them their flowers" in the comments. #love #womenentrepreneurs #joy

Light and dark. We talk about them like opposites. But what if they’re both part of the same truth? In this week’s episode, Lori and I explore how creation and destruction aren’t enemies, they’re partners. Without one, the other can’t exist. Without endings, there can’t be beginnings. Lori offers a perspective that goes even deeper — that beyond duality, beyond right and wrong, light and dark simply are. There’s something profoundly freeing about that. The idea that we don’t have to label everything to find meaning. That maybe, we can let it just be. If this conversation stirred something in you, comment “EPISODE” and I’ll send you the full interview. 💚

Why yes, this Origami bag is magic! It’s the style I chose from the collection & it so perfectly fits my day. Start with it clipped for dropping kids off at school, then add in my laptop for work. It held SO. MANY. SNACKS. when I was traveling to Ethiopia, and I felt so much more put together than when I used to carry a cotton tote for the overflow of things needed in my evolving day. Can’t recommend this unique bag more!

Enjoyed a whirlwind trip back to Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago…full of hiking adventures, (and maybe one of those involved a little too much adventure as we strayed off course a bit😬😅!) Healing hot springs, inspiring artisan markets, picturesque skies, flavorsome treats, so,so much beauty to take in, and deep talks that illicit desire for more grace and love.🙏🏼 A little taste of heaven! Thank you @foxlor for being a safe place and for inspiring me as always with your artful life! And thank you @recalibratetw for waiting patiently for me.❤️ “ Real intimacy is a sacred experience. It never exposes its secret trust and belonging to the voyeuristic eye of a neon culture. Real intimacy is of the soul, and the soul is reserved.” ~Anam Cara

Lori, our amazing handbag designer, is in Addis Ababa right now, working with our artisans on the Fall collection andscouting the best spots for our September trip! 🌍✨ She’s been sending the most stunning sunrise views, must-visit restaurants, and behind-the-scenes peeks of the design process—and now, I’m beyond excited. What’s excited times 1,000? Thrilled? Ecstatic? ELATED?! 😍 I can already picture myself in September, grabbing a fresh Ethiopian espresso before a day filled with connection, culture, and creativity. And I’d love to picture you there too. We’ve got just a few spots left, and we’re booking accommodations now—if you’ve been on the fence, this is your sign. Let’s make it happen - details in bio link! 💛 #TravelWithPurpose

Behind the Scenes in Ethiopia 🇪🇹✨ Our incredible handbag designer, Lori Fox (@foxlor), is on the ground in Ethiopia, working side by side with artisans to bring our Fall collection to life. From fine-tuning strap lengths to designing with zero waste in mind, she’s making sure every detail is just right. I’ve admired Lori’s work for over a decade, and when I reached out, she was just feeling the pull to return to designing. Now, she’s shaping the most thoughtful, beautiful bags—plus, she even designed a new logo we’ll launch this Fall! We’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes moments over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for a first look at what’s coming! #EthicalFashion #MadeInEthiopia #slowfashion

“Contemplation is a panoramic, receptive awareness whereby we take in all that the situation, the moment, the person offers, without judging, eliminating, or labeling anything. It is pure and positive gazing that abandons all the negative pushback so it can recognize inherent dignity.” Richard Rohr Friendships that make me a better person🙏🏼, inspiring art and beauty, walks in the sun, laughter, sipping chocolate, healing hot springs, conversations that I never wanted to end. Thank you friends!!!✨Much love!!!

This is just a fraction of what I have experienced in this little gem tucked away somewhere in Texas! So many memorable moments, loving experiences, beautiful encounters and people I now call my friends, so much to learn, feel and understand. I feel very lucky to have spend this fall in Corsicana! . More soon about my new porcelain pieces and watercolors I made during this most supportive artist in residence @100w_corsicana . #artistinresidence #art #conversascoraicana #dallascontemporary #dallas #performance #friendship #sharing #sabrinabasten #100westcorsicana
