A Mother Superior hiding a Jewish family by passing them off as refugees with no names, and an eight-year-old boy learning to stay silent about who he is... "Figli di Dio" is one of four North American projects looking for partners that will be presented at NOAM Next in Monza on Tuesday 27 October: a historical drama inspired by a true story, written and directed by Jacqueline Elyse Rosenthal, with Elisabetta "Fox" Piantoni as director of photography. Each project has fifteen minutes to pitch and five minutes of questions from the room. Before that, at 18.00, an info session on the Italian Ministry of Culture scheme for minority international co-productions: how it works and what a foreign project needs in order to find an Italian partner. 2026-2027 JWI Screenwriting Fellow with a film that I’m making to honor children who are taken from us too soon. I am not a mother yet, but this film is for all the mothers and fathers who lost a child due to hate and war and to every child no longer with us in flesh, but in spirit. I commend @thejwinstitute @ccefilms and Maimonides Fund for taking on stories that are a bridge to make us stronger as a human race. I know this path will be a meaningful one. And one that I don’t have to go alone. Earlier this month I directed a short on Super 16mm film in Siracusa, Sicily. For three weeks, I learned and worked alongside incredibly talented filmmakers from all over the world through @terredicinema - I received invaluable mentorship and support from @orsinagypal, @ilcondor, @micleosp, @anitaonof_, @premakrisnaguy and all the participants of the program. I collaborated on the script with @martinamengali, and her contributions were vital to making this story resonate and reflect the experiences of a queer person growing up in small-town Italy. My brilliant actors @deandrb and @mcleliasciacca breathed so much life into their characters. And with my genius DoP, @fedejljosh, and the supremely generous team of collaborators around us, we captured some truly beautiful moments. 🌊 BTS captured by the lovely @la.inga.photos ✨ Grazie mille 🩵

Terre di Cinema 2026 - International Cinematographers Days These past weeks in Siracusa have been such a special experience for me. I had the chance to be part of Terre din Cinema as a DOP and Gaffer and to work with an incredible international team sharing the same passion for films while coming from completly different countries and backgrounds 🤯 Working with 35mm color film makes everything feel more special, intimate and challenging. From scripts to location scouting to light tests to loading magazines and finally to shooting our films… Our teachers and supervisors took care of us and our films to make it happen and I will never forget this.
