🇺🇸 #tbt of this hug with Malu after her final of the ADCC Youth Worlds. Not every 12yo can do that: be away from the family for months to achieve a goal. Not every parent can do that: let your 12yo child to be in another country, with another family, for months to achieve their goals. Not every Coach can do that: take a child in, with all the responsibilities that comes with, "just because" he has a vision of something greater. Not every family would accept that: to allow another child to come in, providing everything, making no difference between their own children and the guest, so people can follow their vision and have the opportunity to accomplish their goals. I would literally need a full podcast to talk about what Malu, her parents, my family and I did for a moment like that. It's definitely NOT for everyone. It's beyond Jiu-Jitsu.

Our athletes brought home an amazing 72 medals:

🥇 28 Gold
🥈 26 Silver

We are incredibly proud of every athlete who stepped onto the mats! Your courage, discipline, hard work, and determination were on full display.

Every victory, every tough match, and every lesson learned is part of your journey. Medals are special, but the growth, confidence, and character you develop through competition mean even more.

Congratulations to all our athletes, coaches, and families! Thank you for representing Bastos BJJ with pride, respect, and great sportsmanship.

🇧🇷 Mundial Youth @adcc_official 🥈

🇺🇸 @adcc_official Youth World Championship 🥈

Unfortunately, yesterday I didn’t get the result I wanted. I had two really good matches, winning the first one 6–0, and the final was a war that ended 0–0. I ended up losing by the referees’ decision, but I know everything happens in God’s timing, and one day it will be my turn.

I want to give a huge thank you to @brunobastosbjj and his team @bastosjiujitsu_official for all the support during the month I spent here. I learned so much and improved a lot during my time here, and I’m truly grateful for everything.

Now it’s time to get back to training and come back better for the next competitions.
