2 ⭐️ @closdesvignesdumaynes & #SteohaneTissot + a rising ⭐️ from Northern Rhône @thibaud_capellaro in the 🎒 today!!

@closdesvignesdumaynes , was purchased in 1952 by Pierre & Jeanne Guillot. Since day one they farmed according to organic practices did not use sulfur in the cellar. The domaine was then passed on to Alain Guillot, their son. Alain was involved in getting the French government to recognize a label for AB certification (organic farming) at the European level. In 1998 Julien joined the domain & pushed the farming a little further with Biodynamic practices & expanded the winery a decade ago in order to work with gravity, allow longer elevage. The wines are more and more precise & always deliver pleasure.

Sliding in a bottle from a winemaker you should pay attention to if you like Northern Rhone wines @thibaud_capellaro - We have a couple cases available of Ze-Ro 24 (a blend of 80% Syrah & 20% Viognier). That vintage was a complicated one to farm (mildiou pressure, rain & lack of sun) & yet Ze-Ro is delicate, precise, balanced & textured. It’s in these vintages that great winemakers come to light.

#StephaneTissot started harvest 2026 yesterday with Poulsard - complicated growing season - this summer was hot, there was very little water, resulting in small yields, but it will be good! For the time being, let’s enjoy this Poulsard Confidentiel 2024, (a cool vintage, also with small yields due to mildiou pressure).

Heirlooms: Varieties like Brandywine, Cherokee Purple, and Jersey tomatoes are high-value favorites. Their unique shapes, deep colors, and complex flavors command premium prices.
Beefsteaks & Standard Slicers: Big, juicy varieties like Big Beef, Mountain Fresh, and Red Deuce are high-yielding, visually uniform, and firm enough to prevent bruising during transit.
Cherry & Specialty Tomatoes: Sungold (orange, extremely sweet) and mixed cherry tomatoes are incredibly popular for snacking and salads, often selling out first at peak markets.

@fradeibkln for the best date night dinner! Seasonal menu with such fun dishes in a tiiiiny little perfect space

Pictured here is the ricotta pasta with zucchini and purple basil, marinated squid, and so many fresh veggies. They said they source the majority of their ingredients by going to Union Square farmers market 2-3 times a week - which explains why it was so fresh 🌱

Annnnd a little ice cream from Emack and Bolios after
