I truly believe the most important LOVE story is the one we build with ourselves. As a local Realtor and proud member of the LOVE community, movement and breath have become essential parts of my well-being, especially living with Crohn’s disease. After lifting at Vision Fitness, I’ve found deep healing and balance through restorative yoga practices here at LOVE. This past year brought new challenges when my daughter, Ashtyn, was also diagnosed with Crohn’s. But the incredible support from Charles, Sherri, Molly, and the entire Vision & LOVE community has shown me the power of faith, wellness, and community. Together, we grow stronger every day. For my fellow Crohn’s warriors, here are a few yoga tips that have helped me: 1️⃣ Gentle Poses: Child’s Pose, Cat-Cow, and Supine Spinal Twist can help soothe digestion and relieve tension. 2️⃣ Breath Awareness: Deep, mindful breathing calms the nervous system, especially during flare-ups. 3️⃣ Listen to Your Body: Modify or skip poses that feel uncomfortable—your comfort comes first. 4️⃣ 1:1 Sessions: Consider personalized 1:1 yoga sessions to tailor the practice to your needs. 5️⃣ Hydration: Stay hydrated before and after your practice—it’s key to overall wellness. She’s a singer-songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago, with an organization called E.P.I.C. that drills clean water wells in Tanzania and focuses on community growth in East Africa. Kayvon came home to @miltonhersheyschool!!!🔥 @mhsgreatness joined Kayvon as he visited Purcell Friendship Hall at the Milton Hershey School alumni campus to talk to the Class of 2024. MHS Alumni Association was holding an event as part of their collaboration with SGA to plan activities and events that the youth could relate to, like having a relatable speaker share his personal experiences. MHS Alumni Association president Angela Shade noted how great the energy in the room was, and that it was exciting to be part of an association that could make a meaningful impact on these young Milt’s lives.
