it begins with a city. a club opens in the city. a scene starts in the club. and scenes create culture.

*no AI, just some humble creatives and a sprinkle of photoshop

a scene in 16th century florence created opera. a scene in 1980’s detroit created techno. a scene in 2010’s london created hyperpop.

a scene: people in a specific place at a specific time, starting something together.

scenes are local. scenes are social. cities, clubs, and scenes are the original social media.

music and style is the ‘content.’ djs curate the ‘feed.’ and everyone you see actually exists.

what is called “social media” today is a psyop, and everyone knows it.

designing an app to maximize time spent watching videos alone and calling it ‘social’ is one of the craziest gaslights of all time. everybody hates it. nobody knows how to leave it.

so a few people in a scene in 2020’s berlin created takt.

takt is not a social media platform.

takt is an app designed to maximize time spent together with other people.

takt is an app for scenes.

takt rewards those who always show up to the function. sometimes, takt throws the function.

q: how do you decide who gets into takt? a: by their participation in the scene.

a scene dies when the people who make it can no longer afford to show up.

the club closes. the neighbourhood changes. the scene moves, or disappears.

takt addresses this with affordable entry, community-owned infrastructure for promoters, & discovery shaped by people, not algorithms. so that the scene and its people can thrive.

takt begins with a city: berlin. it might begin in your city next.

a club opens in the city, and the club is the best social media.

without clubs there are no scenes. without scenes, there is no culture.

and without culture… actually let’s never find out.

GTA. An experimental audiovisual project part of the ‘404’ album. Sound on. 🔊

Captured from the moments of our performance in Groningen (NL) at @pigeonfest , where we presented an audiovisual performance using Cypriot dialect rap and live visuals using Microsoft paint. This film blends video-footage with screen-recordings of the live visuals, using data-moshing and morphing, in a transition between the digital and the physical world embracing the errors and glitches.

Rather than treating the internet as a backdrop ‘404’ approaches digital space in which identity is continuously assembled, archived and reconstructed, creating a multi-dimensional space where humour and tragedy coexist without resolution.

$‘404’ (Album) is OUT NOW ⚠️ Play it loud on all streaming platforms (link in bio) ⛓️⛓️‍💥 Developed between Nicosia and Limassol over a two-and-a-half-year period, the album navigates the collision of identities, emotions and musical languages through 8+1 fragmented episodes and a pit-stop in Athens. As Marinos leads several other lives in his mind, MAVA shifts between confrontation, satire, vulnerability and self-mythology, refusing emotional, lyrical and stylistic permanence. Emerging from contemporary Cyprus, personal experiences become entry points into broader reflections on cultural performance, institutional norms, fractured identity and the quiet acceptance of everyday absurdities. Borrowing its title from the familiar digital error message, the album questions the possibility of locating a singular identity in a world that continuously demands coherence.
