PERMESSO

A moderare l’incontro @matetemartini e @saratintin.psd.

*UNDINE BLEIBT* (Undine stays)
Light intervention by Victoria Coeln, in citation of Gabriele Stötzer’s textile sculpture „Undine kommt“, Long Night of Museums, Gropius Bau, Berlin 2026

While the mythological Undine in Ingeborg Bachmann’s short story „Undine geht“ (Undine leaves) vanishes underwater and thus evades confronting the patriarchy, the Undine in Gabriele Stötzer’s „Undine kommt“ (Undine comes) turns towards visibility. She represents the demand that the „primal female
energy“ as Stötzer calls it, „must return and learn to look.“
In Victoria Coeln’s intermedia transformation Undine becomes a larger-than-life luminous figure. Emanating from the Gropius Bau, she overwrites the
immediate surroundings with her chromatic trails of light. This Undine surveys the city. No longer the object of the gaze, she is now an active observer. With courage and determination, she appropriates space and faces what she sees. „Undine bleibt.“ (Undine stays.)
(Victoria Coeln, Mori Reithmayr, 2026)

1) Joanna Pianka & Veronika Suschnig
Perceptual Grounds

Between Air Between Us versammelt sechs künstlerische Positionen, die diesen Entwicklungen mit Humor, Sensibilität und analytisch-poetischen Perspektiven begegnen.

• Veronika Abigail Beringer @v.abigail.b
• Francesca Centonze @francesca_cent
• Felix Lenz mit Ganael Dumreicher @_lenzflare @ganael_gana
• Martina Moro @_ma_moro_
• Marlene Stahl @malusstahlus
• Sebastian Supanz @sebastiansupanz

Physiology of the second season

Late spring, when summer announced itself, I found myself being struck by smells, lights and weather conditions, that transported me straight back to my early teenage years - the ones I strongly connect with a feeling of unease.

The video work Physiology of the second season visualises persistent memories and determining emotions, I connect with my (early) teeange years.
The project aims to reenact and give shape to non-physical matters, like emotions and evocations, by finding visual containers for them.
In the work, the body is positioned as a living archive, capturing and locking feelings, experiences and impressions.
Physiology of the second season, is a composition of multiple mediums, like moving image, text, field recordings and composed sound.

“S as two dogs running in opposite directions.”

A new exhibition programme promoted by Biennale Internazionale Donna, created to extend the dialogue beyond the Biennale itself.

Each edition begins with a guest artist or a guiding work, becoming the starting point for a collective exhibition where different practices, generations and perspectives come together.

For this first edition, Pierluigi Scandiuzzi opens a reflection on time — not as a linear sequence, but as memory, transformation, waiting and atmosphere.

The Times We Breathe invites visitors to experience time as something we inhabit rather than measure: something that settles into places, materials and bodies, shaping the way we perceive the world around us.
