We hadden een fijne week in Londen.
25 14/15jarigen en wij.
In 5 dagen en 4 nachten ontdekten en leerden we;
reizen met een trein, functioneren in een groep, verblijven in een hostel, het gebruik van the underground, weinig slaap en toch school, het geweldig inspirerende, het bruisende en de immense grootte van Londen.

Quite literally the best pizza I have ever eaten from @francomancapizza on Bold Street! A sourdough Tre porcellini pizza with a yellow tomato base, mozzarella, tuscan sausage, crispy pancetta, hot honey & "nduja sauce, basil and chilli threads 🍕🌶
Obviously we enjoyed it alongside their blue Maradona (available during @liverpoolcocktailweek eek) and the most incredible grana and truffle dip for those crusts! The staff were gorgeous and so helpful and the vibe was great for a cheeky little date night! 💃

FRANCO MANCA'S AUTUMN MENU… THREE DISHES, THREE PLOT TWISTS @francomancapizza

New season, new flavours, and this time my top three came with a few surprises!

1. THE UNEXPECTED WINNER – VEGETABLE PLATTER!

Who goes to a pizza restaurant and puts vegetables at number one? Apparently me! Colourful, packed with flavour and an absolute standout!

2. THE CARB-ON-CARB LOVE AFFAIR – POTATO PIZZA!

Potato, Gorgonzola and sourdough. Carbs on carbs? Don't mind if I do! Comfort food with a cheesy twist.

3. THE ONE WITH ATTITUDE – SPICY LAMB PIZZA!

The special of the day came with a fiery kick! Bold, spicy and definitely not here to play it safe.

I do believe the new ragu pizza would have been my favourite but they ran out. Next time hey. It just shows how popular it is.

AND THE BONUS BITES?

Garlic bread with goat's cheese and the new goat's cheese bruschetta. Because there's always room for a little extra!

Would you try potato on pizza? 👀 My husband ordered it on our return visit to Franco Manca to try the new menu, and really enjoyed it!

Most of us chose chorizo pizzas, my eldest went for the charcuterie platter, and we shared garlic bread and dips. We all loved our food—the pizzas really are delicious.

But my highlight? The chocolate cake 🤎 Most of us ordered it, and I’d happily go back for that alone. Definitely leave room! My husband chose the tiramisu instead.

Anxiety has been the undercurrent in my life for so long.

And although I live with it every single day, I’ve started to think about things differently this year.

I’m fiercely committed to everything I set my mind to, but there comes a time when something has to give.

How much of the pressure we put on ourselves actually needs to be there?

I’ve spent so much time feeling like I should be doing more, achieving more, making better use of my time or being further ahead in life.

I’m trying to remind myself that I don’t have to earn my rest, justify the things that make me happy or have everything figured out.

Sometimes, doing our best is enough.

Here’s to being a little kinder to ourselves 🕯️✨🪫💞
