My whole life has been spent at John Curtis, and after 13 years I finally graduate. It’s been a long ride and now it’s time to move on to bigger and finer things.

PROM 2026 - I stay winning

As one last ride ends with wrestling my athletic career is officially over there was and is no regrets, there couldn’t be. This season was filled with a lot of ups and downs. There were tournaments I wished I wouldn’t have missed for certain things. But what I will say is that you can change the past I had to make do with my decisions. The main point of all this is I was part of this program for four years. Within in that time I had three coaches all who made their own impact and things to learn and takeaway from each of those amazing guys. But in that time we managed to pull out 3 consecutive state runner up finishes as a team. This program is growing and evolving every year. I always wanted to leave behind a legacy a Curtis from my very first year, to write my name in the history of John Curtis. With wrestling I wanted to leave my name up on that banner of state champions. Though it was not Gods will for me I thank Him and for everything he has provided for me. It wouldn’t be possible without Him. The Lord did bless me though to be apart of something bigger than me. That is to get the ball rolling what we did in 3 years that was never done at our school set the standard for this program. I know with the amazing coaching staff we have and wrestlers that gold is within our grasp. The one thing that always stood by me and what I took away from wrestling after time of thought was this one verse. “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for your rod and staff they comfort me.” I would say this before all matches to remind myself that the Lord was with me out there on those mats as well. Now that I move on to bigger and finer things I will never forget the memories I made in those 4 years, the fights, the pain, and most importantly the friendships. My legacy at Curtis is and always will be being part of an outstanding program that changed me and so many amazing ways. I love these men who are going to make history one day in this sport and for the school with the coaches who will guide them to it. To God be the glory.
