As I close this chapter of my MA Fine Art at the University of Reading @unirdg_art , I find myself thinking less about the work itself and more about the people who made the journey possible.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported, challenged, encouraged, and believed in me along the way. There are many people I could name, but I want to give a special thank you to a few who have been particularly important to this journey.

Dr Annabel Frearson — for your continuous advice, care, and navigation from day one. Your warm heart, generosity, and ambition for the programme have meant more than I can put into words.

Emily Butler — for refining and shaping my practice throughout this journey, and for bringing such clarity, rigour, and ambition to the wider MA cohort. Your curatorial approach and understanding of the professional art world gave the degree a real sense of structure, connection, and possibility.

To my MA cohort — thank you for the conversations, encouragement, solidarity, laughter, and all the moments in between. It has been an unforgettable time making alongside you.

To our incredible Pro Technicians — Baz James, Tom Williams, Jacob Sturtridge, and Jeff Leung — thank you for your patience, expertise, problem-solving, and willingness to make things possible when they seemed impossible. This work would not have come together without you.

And to all the University of Reading tutors I have had the privilege of speaking with, learning from, and being challenged by — thank you for every conversation and every perspective that has contributed to this journey.

And, last but certainly not least, to my anonymous supporters whose generous financial support made this journey possible: you know who you are. 🤍

This degree marks the end of one chapter, but perhaps more importantly, the beginning of another.

Thank you to everyone who was part of

Many thanks to everyone who attended and supported the exhibition. It was a pleasure to share my piece alongside the work of such talented artists.

We're incredibly happy to announce a new collaboration with artist @taishani and London's @thecosmichouse — former home of legendary writer and architect Charles Jencks...

Cosmic Caesious, Cosmic Zinnober, Cosmic Celadon, Cosmic Virescent is a collection of essays edited by artist Tai Shani that trace connections between Shani's own curious and multi-disciplinary work and the intellectual legacy of Charles Jencks, one of Postmodernism's most playful architectural thinkers.

With newly-commissioned texts by Anne Boyer, Annabel Frearson, Emily LaBarge, Taylor Le Melle, Basyma Saad and an afterword by Cosmic House director Eszter Steierhoffer that explore themes of anthropomorphism, the tangled legacies of surrealism, and the Promethean impulse.
