Meet the Cast of “Yappy Hour”, everyone’s favorite So-Cal kids show!! Otis, Lenny, Yips, and Beans, bring coffee, chaos, life lessons, and a heaping scoop of heart every week on NLPB and WXPM. OK so - “YAPPY HOUR” hour might not actually exist (neither does NLPB our fictional, public broadcasting station, or WXPM, the local affiliate), but we created this fictional children’s program and the world around it for the film and wanted it to feel real and lived in. These are the made-up “character posters” for the show. One of the most exciting and fun things about making this movie was creating the world of Yappy Hour, and all of the promotional materials, logos, posters and ephemera that come along with a real show. Led by production designer @emimull and graphic designer @_hefk we designed and printed these posters for the set. You can see them oh-so-briefly in the hallways at the beginning of the film if you watch closely. Can’t wait to share more behind the scenes, props, and new posters! I don’t know where to begin… how about… THANK YOU @cindependentfilmfestival!!! What a whirlwind! We are all so appreciative of this award. A director is only as good as their cast and crew, and by golly we had a wonderful batch of talented artists that helped make this thing some to life! From the deep dive conversations, to the amazing programming, to making new friends and reconnecting with old ones @cindependentfilmfestival is such an invaluable place for films and filmmakers - led by the amazing @allyson_the_instagreat and her incredible team! I can’t wait to make the next thing in hopes that I might be able to return and share it with your amazing community. Oh- and Otis has the best time as well!

Meet The Team: Lee Sacks, Producer Calm, experienced, savvy, and a perfect addition to the @meetingyourmakerfilm team. With 15+ years across film, entertainment, and branded production, Lee brought an incredible depth of experience to the project, with credits including Main Man, Arsenio! Live from Netflix Is A Joke Fest, Haunt the Johnsons, and Little Paradise, along with work for Nike, TikTok, and Snapchat. Lee brought a presence and wildly impressive attention to detail that was amazing to witness, whether in prep, on the day, or throughout post. We were thrilled to collaborate so closely with him on this and can’t wait to carry that relationship into future projects. Thank you, Lee! We couldn’t have done a frame of this without you.

Whoa! This is amazing! To have @meetingyourmakerfilm in the same sentence as “Oscar Frontrunner” is unbelievable. So incredibly honored to be listed amongst some of my favorite films that I’ve seen this year. Congratulations to everybody else who made the list and excited to see you out there on the festival circuit. And of course, my deepest gratitude for the cast, crew and every single person who touched this movie in big and small ways! Otis doesn’t know what to do with himself.

We want to take a minute and highlight our incredible puppetry producer and lead performer, @mander_mudduck_puppeterer who led the way for this talented and wonderful team. Our wrangler, @rachelmadestudio knocked it out of the park in prep and on the day, keeping our little puppet world in line. And thank you to our entire cast of performers, builders and everyone else who helped us out along the way! @makersaurusrex, @vyerrid, @c.papalexis, @joelsantosmusic, @jonathankite @oliveraberger, @johncodystuff & @rikemind. Special shoutout to @leesacks for helping coordinate and the great and powerful @fred.beshid for getting us the @bobbakermarionettes theater 🎭 This work is not easy and deserves so much praise for making this film sing the way it does with grace and humor and beauty. #puppets #puppetmaking #puppetry #losangeles #mymfilm
