Very proud of the Dumbo art tour + cocktails event I organized with my gals Vivian and Ashley as a fundraiser for our kids’ school!

Our first stop was the Biggie tribute statue followed by A.I.R. Gallery with curator Elizabeth Wiet, FRED’s inaugural exhibition & Mandy Cano Villalobos’ installation (both curated by the visionary Jeff Wallace).

We ended the tour at local fave, Smack Mellon, with a tour led by curator, Rachel Vera Steinberg, coupled with tasty cocktails by Matt Levy of Covert Cocktails (@covertcocktailclub).

THANK YOU, Dumbo, and all the participating galleries for welcoming our community!

Don't miss! "HOMAGE" is now open at 145 Plymouth St, an exhibition organized by SM Board Member Jeff Wallace (@jeffwallace_nyc) and Derek Larson to benefit Smack Mellon's Art Ready education program!

Join us for the opening reception on Sat, April 8, 5-8PM.

The featured artists draw inspiration from the geometric principles of Gropius, Moholy-Nagy, and the New Bauhaus, integrating algorithmic components into their artworks. HOMAGE displays an assortment of pieces that incorporate both traditional crafting techniques and artificial intelligence storytelling to classify and situate us within an array of diverse media, urging us to
contemplate the structure of social media. Although these works may seem machine-generated at first glance, a closer look exposes the human touch behind them.

Including work by Alex Paik, Ato Ribeiro, Austin Ballard, Dakota Gearhart, Derek G. Larson,
Henry Chapman, Jeff Wallace, Leah Beeferman, Leslie Roberts, Stephen Sollins, Suzanne Song,
Taylor Baldwin, Theresa Ganz
