MOB MILE by @heartbreak_la with @nikerunning - thank you @mariellehalll

Loved seeing so many friends out there. Started with seeing some of the @keepitrunhundred fam @marielledotp @dani_at_altitude @sir_lancellot

Saw some @runtechclub out there with @lesliecohen127 @phoebekiekgarf @drew_henderson @theprefct

Caught up with @lindasanaluz @tashelldesiree @freddygotitt and finally shared a mile with @chrisfocus

My elusive sub-5 remains out of reach…for now. The hard truth is I’m not there yet. My heavy weekly mileage, lack of recovery, poor sleep and absence of track training will keep me short.

It’s easy for me to make excuses (doggo woke me up throughout the night not feeling well, life demands, etc…) I know what I have to do. 3+ months of weekly track work, better sleep and more intention on my runs (breath work).

The big question is if I prioritize it enough, is it important enough to get by the end of the year? Given I’ve added calisthenics with burpees, pull-ups and now training for Hyrox Anaheim…I’m not sure.

Of course I want to, but it’s a trade off so time will tell.

See you all out there. ✌️

AK1 official mile time 5:35. Ran 8:50 last year. Sub 5 in the bag next year. What a weekend this was. Man I love this sport! @venicerunclub @abbotkinneyone

First time at the @abbotkinneyone - loved seeing all the homies! Repping @walkgoodla and wearing all the @on gear. There were lot more friends I didn’t snap a picture of but glad I got to catch up with so many of you!

@maureenbean @missjennyboom @thedaviakei @jphotrinh @ricar222o @freddygotitt @lesliecohen127 @rose_y_ohs

Thanks for the pics @lesliecohen127 and the video @rose_y_ohs

Not a PR day and honestly could have tried a few things to have an improved time but running heavy weekly miles and prepping for a fast mile are completely different.

Had fun tho and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

Until next year?
